I always wonder about guys who rate every provider 8 or more. I'm just not sure what help that gives the rest of us.
I just read some reviews of a provider and one guy gives her a 9/7 and then in details says she thought he came when he hadn't so she finished hj which he didn't care for at all ( so why did u give a 7??? ). Same girl gets a 7/9 from a guy who says she only did CBJ and he popped and couldn't try for a 2nd. A 9 and no sex was involved at all? I love a good BJ as much as anyone but I can't see rating a 9 if that is all I got to sample. How is anyone else to judge how good she is when you sampled such a small subset of acts with the girl? A rub-and-tug provider I could see but a F/S provider getting a 9 when no fs was ever gotten to???
I just don't think the descriptions match the ratings in a fair amount of reviews I'm reading. Seems like many treat about an 8.5 as AVERAGE/mediocre/okay instead of 5.
I think the answer is to be discerning over which reviews you use to form a picture of any particular escort. If you read enough reviews you’ll hopefully get a feel for which reviewers think like you. Their reviews will be the ones which are useful to you rather than the reviews which give scores you think are way off the mark.
I don’t know why guys give high scores for limited services, you’d have to ask them, but I do know it’s not really worth wasting time fretting about it.
I've seen some providers who were strictly FBSM, but because I found them so charming and their handiwork so good, I wanted to rate them an 8, but TER management brought them down to a 7.
I think the hobbyist's view of the overall experience should count for something, and not just the particular activities taken into account.
I have asked this very same question and received some very helpful answers here.
I have gathered that the numbers are so subjective that anything can mean anything.
You have to read the review and evaluate the reviewer.
Hell just the other day I was reading a review of Nikki Avalon and just for kicks went back to her first reviews. Some idiot gave her a 3 on performance and yet another gave her 5 for appearance and she is one of the most well known and respected ladies on these boards.
try this link to read what I was given as an answer
I will only see well reviewed ladies.. i readthe review and don't pay too much attention to the scores... thats too subjective.. rather, what happened, what was the mood, what was on the menu...Later, when i write my review I usually find my scores are consistant with those before me..the variation is in the eye of the writer...
I think it's every man's perspective of what he got out of the date. Even if FS wasn't happening if he was well satisfied then what's your issue?
I have a gentleman that loves role play. Sometimes he never even gets undressed or vice versa. It's all about the fantasy, how it turns them on and how it makes them feel. If he rates me as a 9 it's because HE enjoyed the fantasy and it was what he wanted.
The other day I had an appointment with a gentleman and the foreplay was so intense that when he reached to put the cover on he served his cup. Never even reaching me.
How is that NOT FS?
It's a person's perspective. Rate how you want to rate and they rate how they want to rate.

Every body places a different value on looks, personality and activities and that will always color the over-all numbers given. What is much more important to me is the body of the review...of course the credibility and reviewing history of the reviewer comes into play as well. Just for the record, I am very orally inclined, as is my ATF. Our Idea of a great time together does not necessarily always involve penetration...unless you count tounges of course...I would never give any of our appointments any less than a top rating. To me, the numbering system has to tie in with my expectations for what I look for in a good appointment. My obligation in the body of the review is to get my point across as to why I gave the numbers I gave.
There was no such thing as "reviews".. Now they are everything!! AS I said, its an individual thing and always has been..The review system is useful for both hobbyist and provider but i think too much is read into it..Information both ways is helpful to fellow hobbyists.. thats as far as it goes... just my .02
...While the appearance numbers are for the most part completely subjective, the performance #'s are not as subjective as you think. Lots of 9's & 10's (especially 10's) get lowered by Problem Reports that detail how only minimal to average service was provided. Remember, there are guidelines listed here on TER about this stuff. Also, I know of instances where providers have gotten really low performance scores raised by pointing out the services that were provided exceeded the low score that was attached (this is rare, more often they get the review pulled). So Buckeye-kev, if you see 9's & 10's that make you laugh, report them!
As has often been discussed, there are the "activities" and it seems that you get a point for an activity, and then there is how well that activity is served up! and that too gets points assigned. Personally, if I walk in, and the gal is who was in the ad, if the price is what was advertised, if she is clean and well groomed, if she says hello to me in a manner that says that I should respect her, and she will respect me, well? then we are already at a 7! If I leave feeling that I wanted more time with her because I was just having such a great time! Well, that is what I look for. There are more than a couple of ladies who I have been with for multiple hours - and I have to say - the time is NOT enough. They are delights to be around.... and I would be proud to be with them in any circumstance. How do you score that?! a 9? a 10? I have to admit... I just don't know how to score that -
As for me, if the gal is well reviewed on TER, I don't even bother to read the reviews anymore as I know that YMMV is in general "the rule" rather than the exception. I don't do anal, I don't look for CIM (but enjoy it when it happens). So in general, I am not looking for those things... so i've little reason to read the reviews.
I do look for the lady to enjoy being with me. and that is truly YMMV.
and I have given low marks. Once - under a different TER identity that no longer exists - I gave a lady a really low mark - due to her attitude.... really bad. It was clear that I was interfering with her life. I was very factual in the review. she PM'ed me.... and had not realized just how she acted. We all have off days. but in this biz, if the off day creeps into the session, it is a business killer.
And actually if you do the search 22,268 reviews received a score of 6 or less and 37,924 reviews are in the 7-10 category out of a total of 431,455 total reviews! (so where are all the others?).....
I had one rating lowered and I didn't know why - and frankly don't think they should have! But I think there is fair amount of objective measure that could be applied.
I know as an erotic massage girl that most people don't rate me as high. A couple of my clients have shared with me that TER has them resubmit more critical reviews. I can't complain however, because it is all in what they expect and what they receive. I can't expect someone who comes only for a massage and hj to give me a 9! However, some try.
I think they should have a different rating system for erotic massage. Any escort can say they do massage, but it is a whole different playing field with the CMT erotic massage arena. If someone is only offering erotic massage, then why are they being rated on a sexual intercourse scale??
It isn't just a measure of how much you enjoyed yourself but also a reflection of what others are likely to experience and can expect. The ratings are not to prop up the provider for selfish reasons but are to help each other accurately portray what the experience is likely to be like. YMMV is BS and helps NO ONE!
I'd probably say that if you don't care for or don't get to F/S sex, and by choice not by rip-off, then it is misleading to give a f/s provider a rating at all. It would be like reviewing a movie based on the trailer only. Sure some trailers are great and fun but it wouldn't be fair to the audience reading it!
The example of some fetish-lover is spot on. Unless you share that fetish, having someone rate high due to a fetish fulfilled is misleading to the majority that aren't looking for that fetish.
Fairly that may be more of a hole in the process - only divided into escort or massage like it is as there is a fairly large middle ground of fetish or just foreplay lovers or guys only wanting a BJ.
It's not BS, it's part of the chemistry between two people during an intimate act. I have both benefited from good chemistry and had lousy dates from well reviewed providers because the chemistry just wasn't there.
While it's true that what we are talking about here is a business transaction I simply don't make that the focus of my attention when I am with a lady. If I find myself thinking about how much I am spending during a session or what I remember reading about the lady in her reviews it generally means that we are not hitting it off on all levels and I probably won't be visiting again. To that end, my reviews are based on my total experience, not a punch card system. I freely admit that my number ratings are driven in large part by MY expectations.
As far as who is qualified to be reviewing full service providers I would say anyone willing to pay for the appointment and write a review. If a "fetish guy" sees a full service lady and writes an honest review about the experience I really don't see the problem with that. Just because a guy doesn't choose to sample the entire menu doesn't mean he isn't qualified to write about the items he enjoyed. Any well written review can only be a positive factor in helping others decide if the lady is worth a try. There are never any guarantees in this hobby.
what is most common is that YMMV is reality, but so is the TER granting of a 10 and requiring activities that total - 3 points... so consider - BBBJ + Kisses with tongue and what? anal? is almost always the 3rd activity - and since I am not into anal... well, few 10 eligibilities... but there are several women who I think are a 10... but based on outstanding performance..... above and beyond the call!!!!!
I have always felt that there should be one score for all activities and performance issues... that are objective - for instance 1 pt for being the gal in the picture... 1 pt for having a current and representative pic in the ad... 1 pt for each of the activities performed above mish sex, etc up to a total of 10 points. Then there should be a totally separate score for looks as we now have, and finally a totally separate score for how well, whatever was offered, was performed... to me, that would work better than incorporating the activities performed with how well they are performed. How many times have we read "she performed a half hearted BBBJ?" So ok.... but I would rather see that reflected in the score that she did perform said BBBJ, and then in performance - lower the score to reflect the half hearted part! on the other hand, we've also read, while she only provided a "Covered BJ - it was out of this world - just the way I like it!" that could also be more accurately scored under a policy such as I have outlined.
oh well, so YMMV is real... even with my barber... my dentist, or my cleaning lady.
"In order to keep our performance ratings consistent, we set up the following system: An escort provider may only eligible to earn up to a 7, unless she also willing to performs the following during a session: Kisses With Tongue, Bare-Back Blow Job, Really Bi, Anal Sex, or More than One Guy. The addition of each offering will raise the score she is eligible for by one point.
This does not mean she earns extra points for performing the service; just that she is now eligible for a higher score. Her maximum eligible score is based on what is offered, not what is taken. You may or may not be interested in the “extra” services she has, but the fact she offers them makes her eligible for the higher score.
If your review doesn’t already accurately reflect this rating system, we will adjust it."

You don't have to DO anything to make her 10 elligible. If the "extras" are on the menu you two can watch television for an hour and according to stated TER guidelines she qualifies for the 10 if you felt the experience merits it. Granted, in that extreme situation staff would likely override you, but in any normal meeting you should give the score you feel she deserved and be ready to go to bat with staff to keep it as written.
Again, from point #7 in the review guidelines;
You may or may not be interested in the “extra” services she has, but the fact she offers them makes her eligible for the higher score.
FK, BBBJ, greek are all fine choices as extras meriting extra "possible" points. But BI and >1GUY are not IMO. I'd much prefer MSOG and CIM myself as I much prefer those as measuring sticks to 3-some related activities. 1-1 acts mean more to most of us than 3-some extras. MSOG in particular is important as it is downright rude and annoying to be shown the door after 1 cup no matter what!
Also, I think the "shows up and matches pics, is polite, etc" description you mentioned above should only GUARANTEE a 5, not a 7. Those minimums mean she is starting at mediocre, IMO, not A HOT TIME A-L-R-E-A-D-Y. That is what skewes the ratings up by 1-2. Treating average reasonable mins as HOT.
I personally feel that if the descriptions are ignored and so many will never give below a 5 or 7 it just detracts GREATLY from the usefullness for us all.
JMHO
Because it doesn't help the audience and is against the spirit of what the ratings are for. My feeling is that some guys rate girls high to try to get BETTER FUTURE SERVICE rather than to accurately reflect the service reviewed for other hobbyists to be able to better judge their chances at getting their $'s worth and having a mutually satisfying session if they choose said provider.
YMMV is a scam/joke invented by advertisers to cover their asses when they want to lie. Why is it appropos in this context? IMO it isn't! It is a cop out and literally meaningless, in actuality.
you take this stuff WAY to seriously. Reviews aren't objective, they are subjective. That means they are opinions and you cannot govern how others think. I never pay attention to "looks" numbers, I only refer to pics. I rarely pay heed to performance numbers, unless they are by reviewers I know. Just read the juicy details and make your decision solely off of that. That way your blood pressure wont spike
