My retirement day is here.

And I thank you all for making it memorable and spending time with me in these last two weeks, and particularly those who drove far.

I was thinking about ‘retiring’ in general, and about a phrase that is used often and how I would really love to see that phrase retired:
“It’s all about the money”. (sorry, Cynicalman)

While there are occasions that are absolutely perfect for us to use it and snicker, I think overall it is one that brings people down. A sort of ‘garbage in, garbage out’ type thing that really doesn’t serve anyone well to think, or use.

So, I thought I’d introduce THIS  phrase: “It’s all about the opportunity”.
Saying that it is all about the opportunity leaves it up to perception; does not leave the listener with thoughts about YOUR cynicism or negativity, nor does it cast any definite light on the subject person. It just leaves it up to perception.

And, it also propels a person towards more positive thinking.  For example, we all know that Life is not so much in what cards a person has been dealt, but in how they DEALT with it. If suddenly you view everything as an opportunity, you will realize the empowerment you have over the outcome.

Relate that to the hobby: Example: You’ve made an appointment to see a Provider. She’s accepted the appointment with you.
Now, can you see how “It’s all about the money” seated in both their minds affects the way the date could go?
Can you see how it might go differently if they went in with “It’s all about the opportunity?” in their minds and attitude?

Well, I, for one, am retiring the old phrase, and using the new phrase!…
..and regarding my OWN retirement, please use email ([email protected]) to contact me, (and not PM) and all other contact information in my profile will be expiring shortly.

You may also still contact me for references. I’d be more than happy to provide one if I can.

Big Hugs,

Sedona

for the opportunity that you brought to all of us in getting to know you.  You are one of the classiest ladies I have met in this arena or in life, and I will always be grateful for your impact on my life.

To your opportunity, my dear friend, and you are so right...it's about the opportunity, for so many things...like meeting someone of your caliber.

Peace and love,
Mr. SD

From an old 'western' song:

"And so my friends
I bid adieu.
I'm a better man
For just the knowing of you."

Godspeed in life's journey, precious one.

You have stripped me of my powers.

You have always removed the Cynical from me Sedona. Nowhere else in this community have I found a larger more joyous heart than yours.

Congratulations on grasping the "opportunity" and creating such a wonderfully optimistic new chapter in your extraordinary life.

  All my love & wishes

Though we never had the opportunity to meet in person, I feel that you will have an everlasting impact on me. You reached out to me many times to share your knowledge, wit, wisdom, and common sense when I needed it most. You have helped me realize and understand how to open up my heart and soul to others and for that I will be forever grateful. I will have this little piece of Sedona to take with me throughout life.

so, yes, it is official, I already miss you

best wishes and farewell, mr.man

I have always enjoyed reading YOUR opinion on various topics.

Yours was always the kindler, gentler opinion that I wish all providers (and ladies in general) would have.

Sedona is always right, and like a true compass- points toward the heart.

After the book is finished you can start another career lobbying the Govt to lagalize the fun.

We will all miss your presence, GOOD LUCK with your future.

prostitution?  As a "former prostitute", you would be out of danger of any prosecution.  But of course, it would "out" you to everyone, and that may not be something you would want to do.

But what a great thing it would be!

In any case, good luck, and thanks for your common sense and good-hearted posts.

Thanks for everything and I do mean everything! I know you were trying to save a final spot for me, but with the trip to Germany and then getting back from vacation a few days late I missed MY opportunity. Nothing but the best......

Since I've been coming here I've really enjoyed reading your posts.

From what I know from my reading, here's a poem to say goodbye.  It seems to reflect everyone's opinion of you.  Hope you enjoy it.  The best of luck for your future happiness.

LOVE (III)
by George Herbert (1593-1633)

Love bade me welcome, yet my soul drew back,
     Guilty of dust and sin.
But quick-ey'd Love, observing me grow slack
     From my first entrance in,
Drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning
     If I lack'd anything.

"A guest," I answer'd, "worthy to be here";
Love said, "You shall be he."
"I, the unkind, the ungrateful? ah my dear,
     I cannot look on thee."
Love took my hand and smiling did reply,
"Who made the eyes but I?"

"Truth, Lord, but I have marr'd them; let my shame
     Go where it doth deserve."
"And know you not," says Love, "who bore the blame?"
"My dear, then I will serve."
"You must sit down," says Love, "and taste my meat."
So I did sit and eat.

Sedona,

We never met and probably never would since we're on opposite coasts.  I've only been in the hobby a short time butd always enjoyed your posts.  I'll say something about youthat one normally says about leaders and athletes, "whatever "it" is, you have "it."

Good luck to you.
