I asked about why folks respond to posts like this

mrfisher gave a good answer and made me rethink the issue a bit

but seriously. if we all want the board to be better, we cant feed the trolls, nor reward posts where they can even bother to type in a complete and reasonable thought

is this the 'special needs' hobby board?

It's like asking what's the going rate for a concert, or a picture, or any kind of art.

We are talking talented entertainers here, not sacks of flour.

If you want to sample rates then go find some providers you find interesting on here and then go to their profiles and click on their websites.  Almost all of them list their rates on there.

If you mean by the "going rate"  the "predominate rate" it can vary from 250 to 400/hr in different US cities based on my experience.  Overall in the US it the predominate rate is approximately 300/hr.
