TER General Board

You can also whitelist via email. I don't need a handle to do it. EOM.

There seems to be a wide difference between those who have several white list referrals and those who have none. I'm wonder what the rationale is for using it vs. not using it. I'm asking to get information to aid me in determining whether I will choose to ask for referrals. Also, I'm interested in how helpful you providers find these referrals, and how willing you are to give them. Thank you for any information and experiences you are willing to share with me.

Hey Matt,

From what I've been able to gather, some hobbyists don't want them as they don't want further "proof" of the visit, though I'm not sure I see that as valid if they wrote a review.

Some hobbyists don't want the provider to have their TER handle so their review is more anonymous and without repercussion if it is a negative review and in that case, they can't be white listed without the handle.

I've heard some providers don't white list for a couple reasons- one, not wanting written verification on line of a visit, and two- not wanting to be "responsible" if a white listed guy changes and is not so hot later.

That being said, most of my providers have voluntarily white listed me after seeing the first white list referral, assuming tht if there is one already that I don't mind.  I do let my TER handle be known, I've found that my active participation on the local board making my handle familiar, along with the white listings has made my pre-visit screenings either very smooth and fast, or in a couple cases not necessary.  So personally, I've found them desirable and helpful.

"I've found that my active participation on the local board making my handle familiar, along with the white listings has made my pre-visit screenings either very smooth and fast, or in a couple cases not necessary."

I also found them to be helpfull with the screening process starting out as a newbie.

"VIP/White-listed on TER" made my pre-screening process easier. (good or bad I am not sure) I will let the providers answer that question.

Note: Posting via alias so I don't out the providers that white listed me.

News flash!
Anyones whitelist can be seen by anyone with VIP.  Even more exciting, it was actually designed to be that way.  And, check it out, the ladies who DO provide whitelist references, actually KNOW this when they do it!  Wow!  Who knew?!?!

Oh, and in the interest of adding something positive to the discussion, I have found that my whitelist along with a moderately active participation in the forums has been beneficial in facilitating some appointments, though not all.

I should also offer my sincere apologies to the ladies I "outed" by not having the decency to post this under an alias.

All in good fun.  OK, MOSTLY in good fun, LOL

Damn if there ever was a time to find a hole to climb into now would be it.

I did not think of the providers side when it comes to a white list until I read goldenbears post (namely the 3rd paragraph).

That being said I tried to hide my white list by using an alias instead of my real TER handle. If I used my real handle then it would be easy to see who white listed me.

If using an alias does not prevent that then I need to go visit the newbie board, and re-visit when to use an alias.

I was never concerned about a provider "outing me" (even though that is what I said), I was more concerned about me "outing a provider" indirectly because of what I may say in a public discussion board.

Regardless thanks for your response.

You search for whitelists via email or handle. When I search via email up pops your handle and then I can choose to add a whitelist.

Katie

Wouldn't that only work if the email he used to contact you is also the email used in TER? I am sure there are some really paranoid people out there that probably use a different "free" email account for many various reasons.

But why would the person I'm seeing be so secretive about his info? The more info you offer, the more I feel at ease. I don't care what your ter handle is and most likely won't remember it. If you don't want to be whitelisted, just say so. To keep it private to write a review later or whatever is ridiculous because I'll know it's you anyways. I'm low volume, remember? This goes along with another one of my pet peeves, guys who can't offer much in verification because they're unwilling to share info. I'll pass.

Katie

Katie, your a board nerd, and that's sort of hot...for some reason, oh that and your drop-dead-gorgeous.

I'll tuck my pocket protector in now that you said that. ;) hehe. Actually, once I learn a trick or two, I use it. This just happened to be one of the few tricks I know, though I have to say it's some of the more experienced ladies that have taught me my best cyber tricks. ;) hehe.

Katie

Even old farts can learn something new.

Thanks!

Personally I don't really care if there is a white list or not. I don't plan on seeing a lot of different providers.

Good for you balthazar!  I like gentlemen who focus on one or two favorites.  I think it's smart, safe & healthy in many ways.

...it doesn't seem to get me out of the need for references.

Always fun...

"Hey baby, how have you been? You were so, so hot. Hey, by the way, would you mind vouching for me so I could f**k someone else?"

it's me telling the other girls he's not a cop, wasn't physically abusive, was generally pleasant and didn't short me. Basically, I'm endorsing him as a client. (However, if the client was abusive/shorted me/was a cop, I'd blacklist him and tell every provider I could.) It works both ways boys...

I am very willing to give references to other girls and very willing to explain my whitelisting of anyone to them as well.

I look at whitelisting as another tool to keep the girls safe.

I try to put one up after every appt. (when I remember- sometimes I forget.)

Katie

Ok.  So some hobbyist dont want their handle known.  Fair enough.  If that be the case, then why should the provider assume you are who you say you are just because you say so??  If you dont want you handle known, some times this is the only respourse a provider has to verify you.  Without a handle, you could be anybody.

If a negative review is posted on a provider, more times out of any it is because the provider didnt match up to what the client had anticipated, or she was a flat out bait and switch, etc.  A negative review is a negative review...if a provider doesnt want one..then anti-up and play the game as it is to be played.  Simple as that.

It is a list for another way a  provider who is VERIFYING a client for an appointment can have the comfort zone of knowing this guy is actually blah blah....if you go bad, then a provider can easily have it removed.

You can turn it off in your profile.  I'm not into the whole white supremacy thing, whether it is race or subjective referrals.  It all smacks of entitlements, preferences and creates an atmosphere that generally does not encourage keeping hope alive.

are truly fun and that I truly enjoy being with.  so there was a mutual feeling between us.  not sure that it helps me?  except that if I am seeing someone new and she knows of TER I do point those out to her.
