END OF MESSAGE

I'm amazed and impressed that so many people have so much time to post huge streams of wise and amusing comments on one thread after another, each thread having so many responders that it would take days to read every message and absorb their profundity.  I think I must have chosen the wrong profession -- here I am, supposedly gracefully retired, theoretically with lots of discretionary time on my hands, owner of a large urban residence and a charming summer house in a toney resort, a couple of cars and just enough leisure travel, and I can only drool with envy while all and sundry dispense pearls of wisdom day after day on these boards.  Now, what do you folks do that you have so much time for this?  I think you all have the secrets to prosperity and if you could market them to all the rest of us laborers in the vineyards, we'd all be rich, happy and enlightened.  How do you do it?

And I'll be happy to share the secrets of life to you.

Although it is a long process to explain...we can start with Step # 1 once I get that deposit.

There are about 394 total steps to completion.  You may have to sell that charming summer house.  But it'll be worth it....I promise  ;)

It takes a few minutes if you're a fast reader to browse through posts, perhaps longer to respond. It's like anything that is enjoyed, one makes an effort.

I find that living in the hood, getting graduate degrees in increasingly useless fields, and dicking around on TER makes me a much more interesting person than some cranky old dude who (instead of driving his cars or enjoying his vacation home) comes on a discussion board to brag to strangers on the internet.

Education is more important than sports cars imo
Learning is never ending for me though,   but sometimes  I feel information is going in one ear and coming right out the other.  :D

Is that Chao Yun fat?  Lmao

I agree, education is great, but trust me...my fields aren't exactly dominating the job market.

For example, as I type this I am giving out orders to people lined up at my office door and speaking on the phone directing subordinates in cities across the globe.

I can't wait until I get the brain implants installed so I can send out my messages directly though the 4G network without even having to type.
