To tell you the truth, I was kinda trying to time it. Looking at the tally till it got around 749, 800 or so and then I was gonna get some poor lady to be my victim if anything for the dubious distinction of being TER's 750,000th review.
But it crept up on me, in my drunken stupor as you prophesied so well, and I missed out.
I spent most of last evening chatting with a lovely lady, a dear friend, that was in a funk of sorts, and just this morning got a text from her thanking me for being there for her. To me, that's worth a hell of a lot more than 5 years of free VIP.
And to answer your last question, I alternated between beer and rum and cokes...
