Preface:  A question was recently posted here about why men "hobby".  One provider posted that she did not understand and that if she had a boyfriend, she would not be in the business.

I imagine the two most common reasons for hobbying are: 1) Variety ("the only true aphrodisiac is variety"); and, 2) a wife/girlfriend is unwilling to engage in sex often enough or in acts that a guy desires.

MSNBC's website has the results of an on-line survey taken by 78,000 readers, half men and half women.  Many of the answers indicate a noticeable gap between men and women regarding the satisfaction/perception of their sex lives.

For example, 45% of women said they did not like performing oral sex. The answer to the question as to why they did not have sex in the prior MONTH: 35% of the women said THEY were not interested; 53% of the men said their PARTNER was not interested.

Reasons men gave for looking elsewhere for sex:  48% wanted more sex; 47% wanted variety.

Now riddle me this grashopper. what is the percentage of the readers who , as has beensaid they would rather go shopping!were fundamentalist of any religion? disqualify their answers and you will get a more realistic answer. as has been said they would rather go shopping

Hmmm, quite a communication gap there. If 35% of the women said they did not have sex because they were not interested, one can only conjecture what reason the other 65% of the women said. It can be assumed that the 65% responded that they did not have sex because their partner did not want it. If that is the case, we have 54% of men beleiving it is their partner who is not interested, with the same number or more of women stating the same thing. Sounds like a gap in communication more than anything that could improve some relationships.

I'm glad to see though, that I am among the apparent 55% of women who do like oral sex. lol I don't like it, I love it.

Glad to see some women appreciate the act of giving as much as receiving. Some girls are just selfish and too into themselves as with some guys.

My SO & I have fallen into a routine of mostly morning sex.  Unfortunately, DATY at that time is not as as much fun for me as she is not as squeaky as she normally would be after a shower.  Plus I can tell she feels the same way as she almost tears my ears off pulling me up if she thinks I'm headed 'down there'.  Too bad, I really love doing it so I usually indulge w/providers only.  What a shame...

Not knowing your SO, I can't say whether it would or not. I do know however that I often do this for gentlemen after we've spent the last half hour getting ourselves delightfully messy....and they seem to enjoy it. This is where the communication part comes in though. Tell her how you feel, and why you are doing it, ask her if she found the warm wash cloth erotic or not.

It may not work for you as a solution, but if it does and your sex life is improved by it, then all the better
