Check this website for an example of what's down there.  Remember that one dollar buys four reals.

Be very careful with the majority of the Escort sites and Escort Magazines that are provided at the hotels in Brazil in general; they are what we know as "Bait And Switch".

As part of my job, I frequent these Countries and have found out that it is better to go to the renown places such as Cafe Photo, Quiltes, El Castillo and Club Bahamas and get yourself the Crème Of the Crop for R$200,00/HR = US$50.00/HR for F/S with Greek, French, BBBJ and BBBJTC besides NO Clock Watching.

I still remember sites and magazines that have famous models such as Nikki Nova, Aria Giovanni, Lorissa McComas, Jenna Jameson and others listed as available with other names for R$150,00 - R$300,00. Even one Magazine had the audacity to have Brazil renowned Super TV Model, Rio Carnival Queen and two time Playboy Cover Page Model Tiazinha a.k.a. The Brazilian Cyclone (Pictured) as available for R$150,00.

I can't assure that this site is like the many others out there but I would be very careful before I invested $US33.00 in one unknown.

Hope this helps......

Yes, DOC, the clubs are the preferred way of finding the beauties. However, if you walk around Copacabana beach in the evening hours, you'll find quite a few babes ready to take care of business.  It's all legal down there so you don't even have to worry about the cops.  Safety has also improved tremendously compared to a few years ago, just don't carry any valuables.

He was asking about Rio. All those places you mentioned are in Sao Paolo. Photo is way overrated, IMO, but guys who get off on spending money will dig the place. Bahamas is better, it's in Moema, one of the better neighborhoods of SP.

In Rio, if you have Portuguese speaking friends, I strongly recommend a trip to 4x4 downtown, imagine a combination strip club/toga party/orgy rolled up into one, one hour, everything inclusive (anal too) for R$130 (R$3.75=$1). If you're looking for something more upscale, try Centaurus in Ipanema, or Aeropuerto, located logically enough, by Santos Dumont.

Some other links for independents and other agency girls: www.contatos.com.br ; www.hotside.com.br (although this is primarily a Sao Paolo oriented site).

Rumoured to be available a couple of years ago, for $5,000 USD, but I'm sceptical. Could always ask Nici, I suppose, but she once told me Aika Miura was available. Think the girl was rollin' awfully hard that day.

You don't have to worry about the cops since they're usually looking the other way when you get mugged.

After midnight or so, no matter how short the distance, I strongly recommend you take a cab if in Copa.

Safety and security is 100% better now in Copacabana than it was say, five years ago. They have police station booths or kiosks every 50 yards or so rith on the beach and the cops are very tough on street crimes and drug dealers in and around the beach resorts.  Downtown Rio is another story.  I have never had any problmes on the beach even at 1am and I don't think that's just good luck.

However, if you are still scared to be in Rio, take a 2 hour drive to Buzios, lots of pretty women and 0% crime.  All the Wealthy Argentinians and other Latin Americans go there for their vacations. Best time to go of course is Dec-Feb.

I totally agree with you Mike. The Police has beefed up its' security and one can safely walk the beaches of Rio.

I was there this past April and was able to see the swarm of cops crusing by the streets.

I also found some good hidden "Bundas" in th City Of Recife too.....

Ahhh Brazil!

How about this for a glimpse at the dangerous world of drug-trafficking in Brazil!

(from today's Chicago Tribune)

Drug gangs flex will in Brazil
Intimidation spurs shutdowns in Rio
By Patrice M. Jones
Tribune foreign correspondent

October 1, 2002

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Drug gangs ordered schools and businesses shut down across large swaths of Rio de Janeiro on Monday in what officials said was an unprecedented show of force by criminals in an increasingly public war with Brazil's police.

From the ritzy shops in the city's famous Ipanema neighborhood to ghettos, business was brought to a virtual standstill in at least 10 neighborhoods. Schoolchildren were sent home early or told not to come. Tourists at some hotels were warned to stay inside, and thousands of police officers patrolled the streets.

No major injuries were reported, but an atmosphere of fear pervaded much of the city.

"This is all to make it very clear who has the power in the city. Everyone is very afraid," said Luis Neto, a 59-year-old retiree who was discussing the city's problems with neighbors in Rio's posh south zone.

Residents said young people and bandits armed with machine guns passed out letters ordering stores and schools shut in several neighborhoods.

Local media reported that Brazil's most powerful criminal, convicted drug trafficker Luiz Fernando da Costa, known as Seaside Freddy, was behind the shutdown.

Da Costa, who was hunted down in Colombia's jungles last year, has been placed in isolation in a Rio prison. The reputed drug kingpin has been demanding better conditions since early September, when he allegedly led an uprising in the maximum security Bangu I prison.

The unrest ended with four drug traffickers dead, including one of his main rivals.

In recent months, terrorizing residents as a way of sending messages to police has become a favored tactic among criminal gangs. The groups, which control the ghettos, have shut down shops and ordered the burnings of city buses to protest police actions.

But many Rio residents said Monday that it was the first time they could remember the shutdown being so widespread, especially in wealthier neighborhoods.

On Monday, police arrested at least nine people circulating the warnings. News of the threats spread anyway, from downtown diners to tourist shops.

Police said bandits set off at least two homemade explosives outside a private university, forcing the cancellation of exams.

Many hospitals were barely functioning.

"A few workers did arrive at the hospital but as they began hearing the news, everyone started calling home to check on their children and many left," said Vilma Soares, 53, a psychologist at a public hospital in downtown Rio. "People are very nervous."

Rio's state governor dispatched police across the city to encourage shop owners to defy the gangs. But most were too afraid to open.

"I want the population to know that we are in control," Gov. Benedita da Silva said at a news conference. "We are providing cover everywhere and our commanders are on the streets."

With presidential elections a few days away, some officials, including the state governor seeking re-election, have suggested a political conspiracy.

But many residents, such as Zeferino de Oliveira, 72, disagree.

"I have lived here for 67 years and I have never seen stores forced to close like this," said the owner of a hair salon and a store in Leme.

"We need a [Rudolph] Giuliani in Rio. That is what we need," de Oliveira said, referring to the former New York mayor and U.S. attorney.

"The police have lost the authority because of the bandits. The bandits are saying, `We will show you who is in charge whenever we want.'"

There is no doubt that Rio, and all of Brazil are more dangerous on some levels than American society.  But... you may find this hard to believe... during my three years in Brazil, I learned "street smarts" about where to go in order to stay safe, and the payoff of being in a very warm and exciting culture was well worth it!  I remember riding the metro at midnight during carnaval dressed in my costume for the parade along with everyone else on the train... what an indelible image... like a surrealistic painting or a dream sequence.  Stuff like that happens all the time there. Yeah, I know, most people want safety above all else.... fine.  But don't claim that being safe and sound in suburbia is the answer to all of life's challenges.  There is always a trade off in this life between security and excitement.  And Rio's crime problems rise and fall just like our terrorism problems.  Life goes on, solutions are found, peace is made for just another brief period.  That's human history.

I was there last summer (winter there), have several expat friends who live there, so I'd like to think I'm well informed on the subject. But maybe there are others better informed than my friends, you never know.

By RJ standards, 1am is still early, I was thinking more like 2a-4a. Seems like noone goes to bed before sunrise there.
