If you set an appointment with an out-of-town provider who is well reviewed; if you made a deposit; if she repeatedly rescheduled; if she never showed up and refused to return the deposit? Would you warn your fellow hobbyists?

Thanx for any opinions.

I think you should warn others, but without being able to see her technically you cannot write a reviews. And most other warnings might result in white knights coming to her side.

Sorry you had such bad luck.

Kisses,
Vanica

If she required a deposit, didn't show, didn't have a reasonable excuse, didn't return the deposit, didn't offer to make the situation good, then ABSOLUTELY YES, I would, and you should name and shame her!!!

You should inform them.

Those of us who *honor* deposits don't like to be painted with the same brush as some mystery lady who didn't return the deposit.  It makes it very difficult to ask for them at all... though I feel it is essential to when I travel.

I just returned from an east coast tour.  I'd had an allergic reaction which resulted in my returning a deposit for an appointment.  I met the gentleman, returned his deposit in cash, and gave him a lovely foot rub for the trouble it took for him to send and then reclaim his monies.

Ladies who honor deposits should be noted.  Same as those who do not.

If you went through attempts to resolve it, and it sounds like you did, given "repeated reschedules" and no-show, then you've been robbed.

Any help for future victims (or corresponding loss in business for the provider) can only be a positive thing.

Sound like you got just about the same treatment from your girl.

And the dealer didn't deliver, and wouldn't return your deposit? Sue!  Well, ok, you probably can't sue, but REVIEW and NAME NAMES on the board!  You were robbed!
