you will notice that the Florida boards are like a ghost town.  Not wise to on those boards, especially Tampa, right now with all the heat.

The following links should explain:

Well of course,  Tampa is known as part of the bible belt and given what has happened a lot of people are running scared, especially there.  Caution is warranted in most of the southern states.  Atlanta has been hit hard as well as Louisiana.  I am told the Carolinas are the same, but haven't seen anything to substantiate the claim.  I have never seen so many ladies retire in one day before and clientele are running scared too.  Even here.  I am usually booked a week in advance, but not so now.  Another affect is in screening.  Ladies are being more vigilant and clientele are less willing to pass that info on which in many cases leads to a stalemate, so to speak.  Understandable circumstances for both parties involved.  I think to many people are scared at the moment.  I think it will pass in time as thing settle down.

But, in retrospect, if you go to other sections of the board, it is not the case.  People are more cautious in what they say and rightfully so.  The boards are back up, from what has been passed along, they are confident they will remain.  Their fight is TER's fight too.  What ever happens to them may have some kind of effect to the future the boards of this genre all around.

Interestingly enough, it may be a blessing in disguise. Reading the posts in support of this genre and the debates on this genre, I do believe that if push came to shove, this genre may have a good shot at being legitimized.  Your link to the news article had a police official stating how difficult it is, now that the internet has become the main forum for this genre and that indeed it should be legitimized.

Bottom line, as this official stated, it boils down to demand.  It has always been there, will always be there, and will continue to be there.  All the resources that are wasted on stopping it are for not.  On guard and playing it safe until things calm down are one thing, but rest assured the genre will never go away.

Here's hoping anyway.
