For the last couple of days I have clicked on this forum only to see the entire page filled with inane drivel and moved on without reading more than a couple of posts.
It's actually been quite a time saver!

Did you really want to read yet more interminable posts about these ever-so-popular topics [in no particular order]:

shaving the pubes:
the futility of CraigsList;
LE stings on CraigsList;
hobbyist emotional involvement with providers;
methodologica/conceptual problems with review formulation;
any and all size questions;
when is a 10 not a 10? and why can't an 8 or a 9 be a 10? [performance-wise];
ED treatments;
gifts for providers;
micromanging our hobyist etiquette;
how to set up an appointment;
in-and-outs of screening;
reading between the lines of reviews;
etc...?

All interesting and very useful topics, to be sure. All covered extensively in the past, and no doubt will continue to be covered extensively in the future [new hobbyists flock here daily]. But also all pretty mch beaten, if not to death, at least into an irreversible coma, showing little sign of brain wave activity, and with near zero probability of revival?

Yes,  most of the drivel has been inane, and worse.  But some of it has been mildly amusing as well.  And a bit of a diversion, welcome or not, from the usual fare. Hobbyist man does not live on provider bread alone [or ought that to be posed the other way around?] I predict that this brief spell of silliness will pass soon enough and it will be back to business as usual before you can ask [for example} : "do providers really care about the size of their dates' equipment?"

yours in frivilousness,

cb

For the best in inane drivel, check out Jacko-ff's 4,382(or is it 4,383) posts on the Politics and Religion board. It kind of makes you appreciate the regular old run of the mill drivel posted on this National forum.

doncha think that's kinda pathetic, smelly?

Post a joke or something, k?  Maybe some gratuitous boobiage, something people care about.

BTW, my computer says about 792 in 6+ years, which is what, once every 3rd day?

How long have YOU been around, sonny?

CB certainly has captured a reasonable Cliff Notes synopsis of an awful lot of General Board musings.  And I agree that at times those subjects are helpful or interesting (especially to new participants) and at other times they are downright tedious to read.  In this latter vein it is sometimes welcome relief to see threads that emanate from outside the box.

On the other hand PF is right-on as well.  Sometimes my mood, mindset, tolerance level, etc. may be particularly calibrated towards certain subject matters.  During these times I may seek only pithy exchanges on topics that are relevant or interesting to me at the moment.  In these circumstances my filtering mechanism is especially keen and like PF mentioned I can easily scan pass threads of no interest in a manner similar to hitting the TV remote until something grabs my attention.

At the end of the day there is room for both POV's and if you really think about it; it is not very hard to bypass threads that do not interest you.
