Have you ever met someone who you hit it off with so well that it made you feel like it may be best if you’d never met them at all?
Since the beginning of my hobby journey, I have met some wonderful people. I have gained friends who will remain friends long after I have disappeared from this realm, and I truly cherish every single experience I’ve had. But, there have been a few times when I’ve been swept off my feet only to feel a slight “thud” when the date is over and my stilettos hit the grounds of here and now. I'm not referring to falling in love or crossing boundaries. I'm talking about the transition from one reality to the next, then back again (if that makes sense, lol). Anyone else ever feel this?

I couldn't agree more. I like to relate it to watching a really good TV show and then having to wait a week for a new episode. Not to mention the time just seems to pass way too slow ;0)

I guess it is the downside of catering mostly to extended engagements and goes both ways.
Last week I both had to remind myself that "this is not real" and have a conversation with patron telling him "this is not real".
Fortunately these are two different patrons or I would be in trouble lol

That you regret meeting someone because you had too positive experience, would you rather you had never had that experience? Do you not believe provider/client can be friends or is it destined for failure? I mean, in a way it is real, he does exist and so do you. Not entirely the same but remember the governer who ran out on his wife saying he was on the Appolacian trail but was in Argentina with his mistress? Well they just got engaged. Improbable yes, but sometimes anything is possible.
That's why I exclusively fuck blow up dolls these days. ![]()
...read a review and want to see that client ?

of course..thats what pm's are for..
I think macdaddy1944, anonymousfun and ShillBill say it well, each from his own perspective. For a fully functioning human being, those connections and thuds are inevitable. One essential question, perhaps, is whether the the thuds of prostitution are less intolerable than the thuds of "civilian" relational life. I'm at the point where they seemingly are, if only by a narrow margin. Life ought to be more about gratifying, meaningful connections —whatever meaning that may have for each person— and less about thuds, but as someone once said, "It is what it is."
You are not alone on this one.
I'm feeling the "thud" part of it, big time, today.
It's my fault though, i'm always trying to play this FANTASY game differently from the rest. ( i set myself up for the "thuds" )
of course..every once in awhile you meet that special someone you have a 'connection' with..they are open..honest..they confide in you..emotions are fragile..trust is rare in this hobby..most never want to reveal their inner self ..especially to a client..they protect their emotions like gold..never let their guard down..on occasion it does happen despite what all the other non-believers in this hobby say..they have never been there..and are probably programmed not to be..

i hear you cubbie..we are privileged in this hobby to meet some fascinating women..just to have them as a lover and also a friend is fulfillment at its best..
but once I got the hang of things, nope.
Good for you for having the talk, we all know we can't go by your actions. So if you took the time to reality check yourself or someone, I think you were being a responsible adult. The one major problem with this hobby is discretion is so paramount that certain details never get discussed, and it isn't until your heart takes over that reality sets in, by then major deep empotional feelings are involved. I wholeheartedly believe you still have a human adult responsibility to make sure the boundaries remain intact and the both of you are of the same understanding.
I was made to believe that things were getting more real than they were, and when it was time for the simple human courtesy of communication I was tossed aside without an explanation. I was even being misled on the same day her civvie bf was expressing his love for her over the internet. As a provider, why would you let someone in so close? To continue the revenue? With the proper communication, I would of probably done nothing different, but at least, I know where I stand. I still care for this person and will NEVER interupt her civvy life, but where's the respect back? If it was another guy, this method could ruin her. At this point, that's really all I want to make her aware of. The cold shoulder makes people furious and others may not react the same.
Some. Move away, some stay in touch, some don't and such is life!

Sounds obvious, but I have met many great women over the years doing this, and you have to be able to keep the two things separate.
I have had relationships with providers in the past, and with the vast majority of them, they have remained friends after. But sometimes it doesn't work out well.
Not sure if I answered your question. Maybe if you want to take it to PM, we can talk about details without them being here on the board.
I'm definitely open to private discussions on this topic. Unfortunately, I do not have the option to PM your alias. ![]()

Just copy and paste his name into the "to" field.
Hi CS,
You are soooo correct!! For myself truer words were never spoken!! I will always treat her w/ respect, as I do w/ all my friends !! I cannot & will not seek anything other than friendship w/ this wonderful lady!! She's "good people" & I don't want to ever lose that friendship!!

On one hand you have to stay grounded and not lose boundaries, but on the other hand sometimes anything really is possible if two people believe? What if you had a special connection with a guy and he did too and he tried to reach out but you didnt because you wouldnt allow yourself to believe? Would you regret that?
What if he is married/SO or she is married/SO or she is not wanting a serious relationship while she is working...we know how some of those turn out.
Sometimes, the feeling might be awesome and then reality hits home after the session has finished. And that's on the positive side.
There is also the side where the match was not made in heaven and never should have been. I am sure the ladies and guys have had al least one of those where both were glad it was over.
Everytime you meet someone you connect with they don't have to be the one or end in a fairy book wedding. What is wrong with having a good friend you can confide in and even have great sex occassionaly?
Of the many providers I have met, there are about 5% (do the math) who I said to myself...'this shouldn't be....for me or the woman'. On the other hand, about 20% were beyond spectacular in the connection made before and after between us
Sure, I have met guys and thought "Damn, why did we have to meet this way," but in the end, it would never cross my mind to become intimate with someone who first paid me to fk him. Many people are literally here "LOOKING" for love and relationships, and I never got that. I don't need a Captain Save A Ho, and my clients certainly don't need to go falling for a hooker...thank goodness.
I have met ultra hot guys and ones who are great in bed, but the money keeps things in perspective...as it should.
Well said. Keep it in perspective that it is P4P. Not the "Love Connection"
Lets face it, we only have so much control over our lives. Some have more/less choices, responsibilities, and challenges than others.
I'm on that road right now. I thought I would enjoy it but I'm really not anymore. Only because it's getting in the way of "work" now.
I told him in the beginning this is what I do in my life and you need to accept it. He agreed but I think he doesn't like it anymore.
I think we should have kept it just business.
The quote is "Don't mix business with pleasure"
