As for you saying it it I show it is said.  
I know that while I am still too heavy I am lighter today because tomorrow I am going to see a provider. I have found it great when an ATF noticed a weight loss but find it demeaning if it is a gratuitous statement, therefore it is a slippery conversation subject.
I have seen a couple of providers that started training routines with personal trainers and get the "what do you think?"
Answer is "keep it up whatever it is " because they are proud of what they have done and have done a lot of hard work to get there or stay there
