ad a really nice email communication going with a provider. Felt comfortable talking about my favorite music, sharing some thoughts on life, etc.
After several attempts to set up some time with her, and requesting a particular day, I finally get this really nice response that she's good to go and gave me two days to choose from.
Only problem is ... that response somehow got sent to the spam folder. Few days later I get another email asking again which of the two days I wanted. I was kind of confused, because I never got the first email. So I had already gone ahead and made other commitments, assuming she was busy.
Woops.
I then go back and look through my spam folder, and sure enough, there is the email that I missed. She wasn't very happy, and understandably so. She went out of her way to set those days aside. Now I'm a complete asshole.
What I would like to do is offer her the full donation amount for the appointment, no strings attached. So basically free money.

I used to work for myself as an independent contractor for many years, and I know if it were me, I would be pretty thrilled with that. Problem is I'm not sure how to actually get the $$ to her, but I figure I could email her and at least make that offer.
So my question to the providers is ... what do you think is a fair response, or gesture to show that I am sorry for costing her inconvenience and opportunity, and that I want to make it up to her ? This is the first time something like this has ever happened to me, so I'm in uncharted territory
