... request to have my post removed!

I was reviewing my recent posts and saw that 2 of my posts were 'Not Allowed' and the reason was:

"Reason: You requested to have your post deleted." Huh? I made no such request.

Then, I realized that the Laura De Leon thread was removed.

That reason needs to be revised to say something like: "Reason: Your post was deleted due to the removal of the thread."

That would have made a lot more sense.

Because I was getting  emails threatening my safety...  and I felt the need to stop feeding anyone's aggression
I'm sorry if that interfered with your posts and your freedom to express your opinion.

I'm sure you would be welcome to start a new thread addressing what ever you where saying in those post.

Yeap!  if you sen and email, I can forward you the emails... although I don't see the need to keep over reacting  and feeding the  subject any more that it already was.

Easy enough to trace the IP addys on the emails to members here...

And then notify the local law enforcement for those "threats".

That is really messed up.
It will blow over Laura.
We have all ( me ) posted stuff that didn't agree with the masses.
It's ok to disagree, but threats are a different story. ( unfortunetly, their are some here, with no integrity )

I have someone working on the IP address and such...
I won't do nothing unless I continue to receive them... The more I worry, the more pleasure I give him/her/them... so I'll just let it pass...
Whatever information they can gather from the IP, I'll keep it for future references..

I'm sure is just a little dog barking out loud...

YOU may not because of personal reasons that you wouldn't want to get involved.

But I can tell you that without exception I would bring a stalker to the forefront.  That is considerably different than some asswipe posting on a discussion board.

And many think that the internet is anonymous.  But if you have paid attention over recent activity...it is not as anonymous as some believe.

So if Laura is telling the truth, that she is being stalked and threatened by some nutcase (and honestly...there are plenty who post on these boards)...she has the option to turn this over to the authorities.  And the proper agencies will not look kindly on this behavior.

Although I had some good  laughs with the replies , I felt no need to participate
with utter  nonsense.

 The funniest thing that caught my eye , Miss Refined Intellectual didn't see the need to hire
an editor as wise as her ,  to look over  her site .

  who  isn't as smart as she thinks ...ANY DAY  

... all I said was that I just wanted TER to rephrase that one reason to make more logical sense if they remove someone's post if they did not ask for it to be removed.

I did not think that this little post would become a bashing of sorts.

You check your "my posts" on Account Manager and see that some bon mot of yours was removed and the reason is something like it wasn't in TER posting guidelines and your thinking:  What the hell was wrong with my post?"  and then you realize they took down a whole thread and it was the OP who didn't meet the posting guidelines.

The problem is that for TER to go and make a different reason for each person's thread would take some big re-write of their software, and that ain't a gonna happen to assuage our itty bitty feelings.

We'll just have to live with it.

It's legit. That's all I'm saying and all you need to know.

I might lean in your direction on this...that post turned into a train crash quickly. I went though 3 bags of popcorn watching it...

But never underestimate the power and/or actions of stupid, crazy people when they get angered.

There were a lot of people going off on that post, and 100's more like me who read it but chose to stay away...I'm sure, based on the laws of averages, there had to be at least 1 or 2 people that were capable of administering a threat.

My opinion does not take away from the sheer stupidity of her post...but no one needs to be threatened for an opinion.

Look, the most was not intended to be, but ended up being, incendiary.  And that's all fine and well, and everyone made his/her point about it, and that's fine.  But nothing would surprise me on this board, including having some psycho send someone a threatening email.  Let's not all pretend that everyone on this board or who participates in this hobby is playing with a full deck.  While most of us probably are sane, rational and normal, there are always some deviants.

Maybe it was a joke; maybe it wasn't, but why to accuse someone we don't even know of going so far to make up something to backpedal...come on, that's insane.

I think Laura made a point and it was taken badly, and that's fine...move on.  She did a Romney 47% pigeonholing thing without meaning it that way, and we should move on.  Let's not start getting into total conspiracy theories where we have zero basis in saying things like this.  The idea that she made this up to cover up her point is pure craziness.  It's as insane as a board post recently on the NY boards where people were making assumptions about a girl's cleanliness and hygiene when they never even saw her.  I mean, come on...

What responsibility did Laura not accept?  The post resulted in her getting a threatening email.  Why not simply believe that she did, and move on?  Do you seriously have that much dog in the fight, so to speak, that you must continue this diatribe?
