A Los Angeles woman claims she was injured by her Victoria's Secret thong, prompting her to sue the underwear manufacturer.

The plaintiff in the case, Macrida Patterson, 52, attributed the May 2007 injury to a Victoria's Secret "low-rise v-string," according to a court document posted on The Smoking Gun.

Patterson's lawyer told The Smoking Gun that a "design problem" caused a decorative metallic piece on the underwear to fly up and hit Patterson in the eye while she was putting the underwear on.

Patterson's product liability lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last week.

The Smoking Gun reported that, prior to the lawsuit, officials from Victoria's Secret had asked to see the offending underwear but were refused by Patterson's lawyer.


Am I the only one imagining a lot of "stretching" of that thong to cause something to fly off?!

this is a case of a consumer who did not read the instruction sheet that comes with thongs... clearly stated on each and every label that comes with a thong...

1) be sure that the garmet you purchase is the correct size for your body as improper fit can be harmful to your health and lower extrimity circulation

2) bodies are larger than seen in the mirror when viewed by the owner

5) in the event of unexpected bowel discharge, the manufacturer of this garmet assumes no responsibility nor liability for soiled outer garments.

6) the purchaser of this garment must be at least 18 to wear this garmet with low rider jeans, capris, shorts or other outerwear guaranteed to "reveal" this garmet when said wearer bends over or reaches to grasp objects on a high shelf.

7) the purchaser of this garment should color coordinate this with other undergarments when it is likely that this will be seen (either through a translucent outerwear or when outerwear is removed).

8) If purchased by an escort, stripper, Pro football cheerleader, Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Brooke Hogan, any of the Kardashian Sisters, Christina Aguilera, Monica Lewinski or Vanessa Hudgens this should be considered professional equipment and may be considered a business expense for tax purposes....

sequined thong, and somehow it pops her in the eye.

Something tells me this will settle the minute Victoria's Secret notices up her deposition!

I'll bet they could make money paying her to videotape it.
