Ladies: for those using those free "rare-escorts" sites, do us Hobbyists a HUGE favor: there is an option to TURN OFF the bookmark default.  

That way we won't accidently add your site to favorites & have hell to pay for if discovered when someone else uses the computer.

For those that care, here's where the option can be disabled:

1. Login & click on the "content" tab

2. Scroll to the bottom & click on "All pages"   button.

3.  at the bottom of the second blue text box, UNCHECK the option that says "Add your site to (visitor) Favorites (pop-up)"

4.  Click the "Update" button

There you go.... easy as pie!

Thank you. I could never figure out how to disable that. I have now done so.  However, your comment 'it ain't rocket science', some of us are more computer challanged than others. Glad you're not. Thanks again.

Those ubiquitous pop-up bookmarks drive me nuts as well. I've never used the rare escort thing, but as an old school webmistress I just always assumed one would need to go directly in and tweak the HTML to remove them. Sweet! -e

nice post.

I totally agree, those pop up are f-ing annoying, and they are always there.

I however started using Mozilla Firefox a few months ago,  and that BS doesn't work with Firefox. Just one of many advantages I come to find of Firefox in the last few months.

So if inadvertently adding those sites to your bookmarks is a problem, I would suggest using FireFox.
