Perhaps my making a post on this subject was a mistake. A mistake that I now regret.
My issue with carols-assistant screener was her inability to explain exactly what she needed to verify that I was not a serial killer. I do not have valid references within the past ten years. I do understand that screening without them is arduous. The same is true when begging old friends to provide the same after I have passed their point of non-provision. However, I was not in a position to provide the screener with passwords to my personal data on business websites such as LinkedIn. I sent the screener a link twice without successfully passing her requirements. I was annoyed when she took offense, saying I was being difficult by not wanting to provide more personal information. I may be new to this old game. But as a retired Navy Officer, I understand the meaning of security clearances and security protocols. But in hindsight, cooler heads would have prevailed. Warrior55
Did you send a token of appreciation? Most assistants love gifts. Being vetted takes time it’s no fun that’s why they pay an assistant. I used to require a $15 vetted voluntary contribution because booking a date can be worse, than pulling teeth for some who are not sending all the requirements in 1 email. It’s excessive now 10, 20 up to 50 emails to secure a booking is time consuming.

Don't you still require this? If not when did you stop?
That’s going on the list with jumbo shrimp, military intelligence, push brake to start, and the classic “if you come to a fork in the road, take it.”
LoL I’m sorry Queen B, I just couldn’t resist. By all accounts you are a consummate professional.
Also, 50 emails to setup an appointment?? Is that real? That’s beyond ridiculous! What kind of maniacs are we talking about here? See, this is why I could never be a escort. I mean, it’s also because I’m too fat and bald and ugly and I’ve got two too many testicles; but mostly it’s because I could never have the patience to deal with Eddie McEmailzalot and his neuroses.
I signed up with her recently and she is very nice (or whomever answers) She did post on her site that someone has been using a similar sounding site to get business, and you may not have the "real" Carol, so maybe that's the issue?
My problem with carol-assistant.com is I can't figure out how to create an account - I've already submitted my info and got verified, but that doesn't let you log into the website itself. But strangely somehow I was able to update my email preferences - I don't get this. I read on some other TER threads that guys had problems setting up accounts with her and actually being able to get into the website - they finally managed in the end but didn't spell out the steps they took to resolve the problem so I'm at a loss as to what to do.
