For instance, Billy Bob Thornton was on t.v. the other day talking about his relationship with Angelina Jolie.  He stated she was "too beautiful, too smart and had waaaaay too much integrity for him to be comfortable with" and that "she SCARED him."  
He stated she definitely didn't deserve the treatment he gave her.
Considering she didn't have sex or date for a year after they broke up, she, obviously, took it very hard when he left.  She had to have been very hooked into this relationship.
BUT this sort of thing happens all the time to beautiful women, so why, guys?  
We are sure many wondered why such a gorgeous woman was with Billy Bob when they first saw them together.  We did.
Is it that the man thinks the woman will leave him--being too beautiful, smart and so forth--and he leaves her BEFORE she does anything negative to him?  Is he anticipating being hurt and made to look like a fool in others eyes by her--and tries so he leaves her so she can't do it first?
This is so stupid, to us, as she might not even want to leave him at all.  BUT are men so insecure that they assume she will not want him deep down--so he tries to one-up the woman by leaving first?  Are men reallllly that INSECURE?  And, obviously, so terrified that preserving their EGO is more important than happiness and security to them?
Why do men always dump on gorgeous women?  This one is a prime example.

People leave people for emotional reasons.

Moderately attractive or even unattractive women are sometimes treated badly by men as well. I don't believe this is exclusively a problem of beauty.

Whether Angelina is crazy or not, Billy Bob couldn't handle her. Physical graphitti is the fun, the relationship OUTSIDE of the bedroom is the work.

If she was being treated so badly, then why did she stay in such a destructive relationship ??  He treats her like crap, and she takes it.

This can easily turn into the chicken & egg argument.  I'm gonna cop out (sorry) and say that it goes both ways.

By the way, Billy Bob Thorton is a bad example.  He is rich and famous, so dumping Angelina Jolie and finding another woman just as beautiful to take her place is not a problem for him.

Beauty is only an initial hook.  Whether a person stays with another for the longterm depend upon qualities that have nothing to do with looks.  I can only use what the poster but forward for information because I follow neither person's life that were used as examples, but in the case that the poster mentioned, looks like both BillyBob T. and Angelina Jollie had some type of self image problem.  Why would BillyBob feel that he was not worthy of Angelina when she was apparently deeply attached to him?  Why would Angelina attach herself deeply to a man who treated her like s___ and would not try to explain his feelings?

people think they are perfect, when they find out their not , they are disappointed.

under-developed in other areas because they have been living off the advantages of their physical appearance all their lives.  The shortcomings reveal themselves as time goes by in an up close relationship.

Sometimes they are from Ur Anus. And it isnt gender specific.
