She thinks Northern VA (we are talking about areas close to DC like Alexandria, Arlington, Tyson's Corner) are part of the South just because they are part of Virginia which is technically a Southern state.  Still shaking my head over those comments.. LOL.  

 
I also tried to explain to her that even in deep south bigger cities are some of the biggest liberal and progressive pockets. Places like Atlanta, Houston, Austin, Dallas to name a few.  I forgot the context of these comments, but her stupid, and ignorant views eclipse the discussion we were having at the time..  

 
A fun fact about Northern VA. It's called the Silicon Valley of the east for a good reason. Most of the world's Internet traffic goes through Ashburn data centers. LOL..
