I recently was short with our wonderful Felicia Fox in an e-mail correspondence.  I was under the mistaken impression that she had  ignored an e-mail query for some unknown personal reason.

It was entirely incorrect of me to treat her..even in print in anything less than a respectful fashion.  Felicia has proven herself to be a sweet woman with a wonderful mind who consistently contributes positively to this community.  My words to her were not only innapropriate..but the timing was quite bad.

Felicia, please forgive me my lack of tact and manner.  I am truly sorry.

It is decent that you took the time, in this, such a public fashion no less, to point out the error of you way and to apologize to the dear and fair Felicia Foxx.   The fact that your ire was raised and you chose to spew forth venom upon her because of  “… the mistaken impression that she had  ignored an e-mail query for some unknown personal reason” illustrates, to a certain extent, what the lovely  women of the board have to deal with on a regular basis.  

It seems, in the instant gratification driven pursuit of this hobby, too often the fact that these ladies have a life,  that may or may not revolve around our needs, causes some to jump up and down while holding their breath so as to let the providers know how slighted they feel.   We use e-mail, v-mail, cell phones and pagers, expecting an immediate response.  A recent post by Iceman offered the benchmark for return emails to be 24-36 hours.  In a perfect world maybe that’s the case but why not lighten up a little and remember where we live.  Life happens, a bit of respect and understanding for what these wonderful ladies go through can only benefit us all.

Both of you guys are very sweet.  I know Felicia and too know her is to love her... Yes, she may be busy but give her time and don't hesitate to give her you info.  Treat her with respect and she will knock your socks off!  I know that for a fact!  Again you can't go wrong with her and I feel privileged to know her... and I can't forget to mention that she is the best kisser... I know that from experience...The limo... I will never forget that!  Forever in my mind.

Beside that she is a really good person and has a heart of gold.  You can't go wrong by seeing her.  I personally was very impressed when I met her.... I would like her to be a life long friend.

I was surprised to see your post up here, as you had sent me that lovely email apologizing.  That was very unexpected, but most appreciated at the time.

Unfortunately the net is a 24/7 proposition, and one never knows what is going on at the other end ... I am sorry about the angst that the delay caused you ...

you and I have discussed the agitation that a delayed email response can create, and Ive told you how much I dislike autoresponder, so I have a voicemail/pager for urgency purposes.  I also wrote a blurb on my webpage about all that.  Unfortunately, not everyone reads my site, so until they ask for rates, and I send them info referencing all that, they wouldnt know.

24-36 hr turnaround time, I can see applying to phonecalls in an office situation.  However, it's not realistic on email, unless I
am on the computer 24/7.  If people truly want an immediate response, perhaps i should have an autoresponder.  I resist using them, as they feel so impersonal, but now I am reconsidering. Cindy Spice has a great autoresponder, so if I do have implement such,  it's going to be like hers. What do you think?

I agree that a 24-36-hour turnaround is a little brief. I used to work at one of the big Internet service providers, and our policy was all emails were returned within 36 hours at the latest. But then again, we had something like 500 support people, so that wasn't a problem. When you're doing it yourself, and you're trying to live a normal life, it may not always be possible to return emails within a day.

Think of it this way: do YOU return all of your email immediately? I know you try (we all do), but there are times when you're swamped, or when you're away from the computer, or when the Internet gods are angry and smite your connection. Back at the ISP, we used to tell our members to just sit tight after sending an email. If, after waiting a couple of days, you don't hear anything, then send a "hey, did you get my message?" email. Whatever you do, don't be nasty about it. It's so easy to forget that the person you're emailing is a person, with feelings, and not just a line of characters on a screen.

Felicia, as far as your question about an autoresponder goes, I don't like them personally, but they may be what you're looking for. Sure, they're pretty impersonal, but they are a pretty good way of ensuring that everyone who emails you for the first time gets a copy of the ground rules. Plus, if you were to couple the autorespond script with some HTML forms on your site, you could personalize it a bit with the person's name, etc. Just a thought.

One thing though, if you set up an autoresponder, you should probably also set up a "public" email address that gets an autoresponse and keep your direct line for friends who already know what the rules are. That way, your frequent emailers won't have to keep getting the autoresponse.

Boy, all that talk about spanking and "more to cum" sure made me wordy!

Well don't hold yer breath with me guys!  It takes me sometimes 3-4 weeks to get back at you when you e-mail me! Yea, it's that bad!!  I sometimes have hundreds of messages in 4 different mail boxes to answer.  I get so inundated I just go: I'm outta heyah! I'll go visit TER or my board or just run screaming down the street, half naked (my neighbors are beginning to enjoy this part of the process.  I think they actually sometimes send me endless anonymous letters, just so I'll panic and run nehkid before them...).

I get back to my a/m messages within a day or two or three... but e-mails just STACK up (sorta like you, Ms Foxx..)1

How about a contest to see who's the best pair at tonguing- a kissing extravaganza.  Let the viewers vote or you can come and be the "hands on" judge.  FF and WWN would be my vote for hottest frenching pair...and when their other two pairs meet during tounge merengue, there will be some nice pillows touching.  Any man would have a good night sleep on those.

To get back to e-mails.  I have to commend Ms. Foxx on her handling of e-mails.  She is very gracious and comfortably direct in her replies..which shows she has read the e-mail before responding.  In comparison to other public figures, she does get responses back quite fast.  Thank you Felicia.

As for you Ms. Faye...it's too late, i held my breath and my lifeforce has expired...But thanks to wonder of modern technology, cyber existence is virtually infinite...or may be not.  Does your servers keep old messages or does it get automatically deleted after so many days?

LL, I know from your posts that you are an intelligent and insightful guy so I guess this just shows it can happen to anybody.  I got short with the devine FF in a post a few months ago when I simply misread her meaning and took it wrong (poor Felicia, you've always been the epitome of kindness and we're all getting pissy with you!!).

But just last week Felicia commented in regards to one of my posts that as a provider you never know who is walking through your door (in reference to state of mind, bad day at work, argument with wife, etc.).  I'd just paraphrase that a little to say that you also never know what the situation is on the other end of the email.  Sometimes the ladies are out of town for two weeks and all the guys think they're being bitches for not responding immediately, for example (there are a million other good reasons why emails go unanswered).  Anyway, we all make mistakes and at least you owned up to yours.  

Now we really do have to start treating dear Felicia a little better guys...
