Moral/ethical paradox

As is my usual, I offer to bring wine to a session with me if the provider is inclined. One particular girl (who declined) I found out was under 21.

Under 21? Wow, I offered alcohol to an underage drinker! I personally do not support underage drinking.

I could get into soooo much trouble if anyone found out! That is soooo illegal, like I need that kind of troub . . .

*sound of moral/ethical machinery grinding to a halt*

Your situation is a simple one - when you ask if the lady would like alchohol, ask if she is of age. Unless of course her website or profile is specific. However, in the case of agencies, it is not safe to assume that a "21 year old" is in fact 21.....

Now - here's an ethical paradox for you: Not long ago I saw a well reviewed provider. During the getting to know you conversation she asked about my living arrangements. Okay, I've heard that one before. So I fessed up and told her that I had a live in girlfriend.

This gal then went ballistic on me! Told me that she thought I was all kinds of a chauvinist pig and unethical to be seeing her when I had a girlfriend!

Now that is a moral paradox for you - she did after all not offer to return the donation, and she went on to provide pretty decent service.

Any more trouble than a prostitution arrest?

You would be in big trouble if she is under the age of consent.  But I would not sweat it as long as she was over 18.

I'm doubting the back story here.

How could you know know she was under 21 when you asked about the wine???

Initial deception from the provider aside, you gotta have your head buried in the sand, or be in denial, to have not have any inkling whatsoever about the POSSIBILITY. I mean...That is, IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING IN THE HOBBY.

Let's take a look at what would be factors in the scenario that leads to this situation you claim happened:

1) Provider has no website OR has a website that doesn't give an age. (She ain't gonna tell a lie on the site and then admit the truth on the phone, so an age over 21 is not in print.)

2) Provider has no reviews on TER or ANY OTHER SITE, where age or age range is listed. (Well that is a fucking red flag to you right there, now isn't it???)

3) Provider had placed an ad on BP or CL without an age listed. (May happen, maybe, I doubt it, not common. Even so...)

4) Provider has no pic on her ad. (Well then, your just asking for trouble on that one, aren't you?)

5) Provider posts a pic that is not her own but looks WAY older than she is, so you assume... (No comment)

6) Googling provider name / phone number pulls up ads or references on BP, CL, CV, Eros, SipSap etc BUT NONE give any indication of age via phone or listing. (This is getting kind of silly, Jones. etc.)

7) Googling provider name / phone number pulls if NO LISTING on BP, CL, CV, Eros, SipSap etc etc. pulls up no listings or refeneces at all. Provider is 'a ghost' (If that is the case... what THE FUCK are you thinking??? Oh... wait... you are not.)

8) You do all your homework, search the web, and there is no info on the provider other that ONE ITTY BITTY VAGUE POST somewhere, with out ANY CLUE that she may too young... and then... YOU DON'T POST ON LOCAL TER BOARD ASKING for 411???

Ok, enough is enough.  I CALL BULLSHIT.

Post the link to the provider's ad, OR post her provider name, and I'll do the research. Let's see if you are not just posting some fake scenario for conversations sake.

I HOPE YOU RESPOND TESSEN!

I welcome corrections and ideas where I might be missing something on this one.*

--- Just keeping in real HH

* I already thought about the possibility that her age was listed but he just didn't pay attention. That covered ith the "head buried in the sand" "in denial" and "KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING IN THE HOBBY" premise.

Unless you already know the gal's age you should not be offering to bring liquor to the session. This is especially important if you prefer younger providers. Moral/Ethical problem solved...

It sounded like more of a joke to me than anything else.
The idea of "doing something illegal" by giving an underage gal a drink....while in the process of doing something even MORE illegal? Funny.
Maybe I read the OP wrong...but it seemed like a light-hearted joke.
You're wound WAY too tight for a weekend.

That's what emoticons are for, right?  To attempt to ad the emotion and tone missing in text, to clarify and convey. Since I didn't see that, I didn't take if that way.
If is IS a joke, my response is...

Yea! :D You can fuck 'em silly, but ya can have a glass o' wine with 'em! hahaha

I personally think a 21 year old drinking age is asinine, we have already proven that we are prepared to ignore laws we don't believe in, hence our involvement in the hobby, WTFs the difference?

I hope this isn't keeping you up at night. lol

I started being a companion shortly before turning 20. I stated my age on my ad and site. Yet guys would always asks for drinks. I would respond with I'm not 21 and they always laughed. It happened until I turned 21. Its not BS. Maybe she just doesn't want to get hammered while at work (which none of you would do) and put her self at more risk for being in trouble in any sort of way for example driving afterwards.

You have NO problem paying her for sex at her current age but you have issues with giving her a glass of wine?

ONE of us needs a drink!

It is stupid that a person who is 18 can be drafted, have contract terms enforced against them, marry and all sorts of stuff ... but can't drink.

The law is B.S.

In addition, who in the hell CARDS an escort who is using a damned fake name anyway?

If she deceived you into contributing to her delinquency, it's her problem, not yours.

Hehe, well, it was sort of a light-hearted comment, but it DID happen. The filler story is that over the phone she declined my offer of wine. I found out during our session that she was under 21. The brief thought of offering an under-21 alcohol did cross my mind, and I chuckled at myself, so I thought I'd share ;)

Her family has members in the wine industry, so she is no stranger to the beverage, but she chose not to participate for whatever reason.

I think we all have issues we deal with like this where our beliefs and behaviors have hiccups and inconsistencies. I was just pointing out one of my sillier ones. Glad everyone had a go, though!

That's vast generalization. Some of us know who we are, happy with who we are, don't want to be anyone else, don't want anything someone else has, don't need all the money in the world and have learned to be happy with working hard and rewards it offers.

Some of us don't worry insignificant issues, not involved or believe in self serving religions, let others do whatever they choose, non-judge mental, don't worry about things beyond direct control or influence always civil, empathetic, compassionate and help others when possible.

So, no issues here whatsoever!

I met a provider whose website said that she was 18.  I suspected very strongly that she wasn't, though truthfully she could pass for it being a slim Asian gal.  (This was over five years ago and her website still says that she is 18, and she could still pass in fact.)

In any case, as is my wont, I took her to dinner and when the waiter came around for the drink order I asked her what she's having and she replies "Oh, I can't drink, I'm only 18."

Well, fast forward a few months and we are out to dinner again and again the waiter asks for our drink orders.  This time she ordered a mixed drink.  When the waiter left I asked "Boy, you've aged three years in just two months."  She blushed and smiled and said nothing.  It was a very touching moment in a way.

I guess to my way of thinking, a safe hobbyist would not bring alcohol to a provider under 21. LE has to have a very specific, and difficult to find, set of circumstances to make arrests. With alcohol in the picture, more possible 'probable cause' scenarios arise.
To me adding alcohol into the mix with an under 21 provider is one more layer of unnecessary risk.

Thanks for the eye-opener.
