major faux pas

i was reminded the other day of a certain provider who about 7 years ago sent out a mass message to all her past clients and prospects . about 150 of them ... how do i know how many .. because she didn't BCC  ( blind copy)  the email addresses   oops !!    while some emails were like  [email protected]    others were guy's email life corporate names   double oops!  for all to see

so how does that rank with any faux pas you might have encountered or done yourself ??

Because I was on the receiving end of such an email. I saw on the CC a shit load of email addresses, figuring WTF.
Not sure if its the same one you're referring to.
It was from some chick in Vegas

My experience was much less egregious.
My favorite provider was retiring and moving overseas.  Since she wouldn't be readily available to answer reference requests she broadcast her "approved" client list to the local girls she networked with. She didn't ask or tell me who received her list.

Major oops but not surprising. While interacting with other providers (social media/giving or receiving references) we also sometimes see unprofessional practices, or what we consider discretion breaches. Hopefully it was a mistake? Not justifying it.. but what comes to mind is they were testing a new method to send a newsletter, or a newly hired assistant who didn’t understand the assignment.

Trust me, suitors do this too. They reach out and accidentally call us by the wrong name bc they’re reaching out to 3-10 providers at a time, or clients who aren’t tech savvy send a mass text (group chat) not realizing. Copy and paste isn’t always forgiving lol.

Mistakes happen. This lifestyle isn’t 100% risk free for either side.

But to really screw up, you need a computer.

A fairly well-known Las Vegas provider was visiting the area of Tyson's Corner, VA. I don't know if it was her first time in the area but she posted the name of the hotel she'd be staying at in her ad.

I texted her pointing out that doing that was asking for trouble. She didn't respond but made the correction a day or so later. I'm not sure how anyone could think it's a good idea to do something like that.

I wont name the towns here, but some Philly suburbs have only one hotel and out of town touring women often dont know that. Knowing that LE does monitor ads at times, I tell them privately so they can use that information to better protect themselves if they so choose.
.
Its one thing to list the name of a county where their incall exists, but naming a small town with only one hotel is obviously problematic. It is almost always greeted with a warm and kind "thank you!" from the lady. And then they usually change their ad to a more generic area like "Philly" or "South Jersey." Its the least we can do as we should all look out for each other in this liefstyle. :)

I had something similar, in about the same time period actually. 7-8 years ago.

A lady I hadn’t seen for a few months sent me a text just reminding me she was there and she’d love to see me again. Was sent to me and about 20 other numbers. Oops!

I thought oh boy, here we go! I expected all these guys to respond with WTF, take me off of this, or whatever. Nobody ever said anything else on that thread. I’m sure she got plenty of individual messages about it tho.

I was kinda embarrassed for her to be honest. She probably thought it was going to go out to us all as individual messages.

i get dick pill spam at my work email

most times it ends up in junk

we have robust email filters at my office

The host of a M&G invited a reporter who was doing a story on this business. Does it get less discreet than that? Well, it did.  Then the host compounded his poor judgement by inadvertently appending the email addresses of all the participants. Luckily, it all got out and the ensuing furor caused the invitation to be withdrawn. But the article appeared anyway. Even more luckily, there were no negative consequences. But the host had the good sense to withdraw from hosting future M&Gs.
This was some years ago and I hope my memory of events is correct. But I'm pretty sure it is.
