certainly more would participate on both sides.  But which would increase MORE and drive the market prices?
If I had to guess, I'd guess demand would increase more than supply would increase, and prices would go up.
Also, the illegality of it, I hate to say, does put an extra edge of excitement to things, so I might actually miss that.

Anytime something is legalized generally prices go down - the Nevada model is the exception that proves the rule...  And basically that's because the legal supply of places and companies to get it from is artificially limited.  No independents - out in the boonies - price fixing - which makes everything more expensive....  

There was a bar in Western Ky that I went to with a couple of friends of mind, one of whom happened to be black. I had been to the place before with my other buddy and felt a bit uncomfortable because of my slanted eyes, but as I am fluent in speaking "redneck", I was more or less "accepted"

AAR when there with my buddy who was black there was a completely different tone and you could cut the hostility with a knife, my friend put some money in the juke box and asked out loud if any one had any requests, the only person who responded was some old cracker who yelled at my friend "BOY, the only thing I want to hear from you is SILENCE"

Too make a long story short, we stayed for a couple of beers and my buddy suggested we leave. Now my buddy is a legitimate bad ass, about 6'4" and an easy 250 lbs who I am sure can easily press 400 lbs. lol, but as he said before we left, "I can whip maybe four or five of them, but there are only three of us, can you two take on the other forty?" We conceded his point, and decided that ending our lives in shithole Kentucky by a barfull of rednecks was not the way we wanted to go out.

I can only imagine what would have happened if he had brought his white GF with him. They probably would have strung his black ass up on the tallest tree and us too just as a warning to the next uppity "person" that came along and thought he was in the 21st century.

Now I will agree things are much better than they used to be, and I doubt anyone of color would have much of a problem in any actual city, but if you go back in the sticks, you might as well be going back in time to the pre civil rights era and some of these guys still believe in ""N" don't let the sun go down on your black ass" and no matter how bad you are, you can't beat them all.

Or if he were in Birmingham, or even Auburn, BUT there are some places in the deep south, places where you have to "pump sunshine" into them, that he might not be so lucky.

I have lived mainly in the South since the seventies and as a "non white" person, I can tell you things are much, much better than they once were, but there are still places where racism still rules, and it's not just the old folks that are racists, although I will grant that the there are more old racists than young ones.

Despite his troll posts I would bet that Ridge has a pretty good grasp on reality, and we aren't going to find him strung up to a tree some day.

and yes, Nevada is a horrible example of legalized prostitution. Prostitution is legal in most of the non Muslim world, and does just fine without any of the ridiculous regulations they have in Nevada.

and I don't know if the primary appeal to a provider would be safety, but if it isn't, it should be. Taking the "hobby" out of the shadows and into the light of day makes it safer for all of us.

BTW this bar I am talking about is so red neck that the "local black people" are only tolerated when coming into the bar during daylight hours, and only to buy booze "to go", and after sundown they aren't even tolerated to enter the bar even to buy booze to go.

I think what it might be is that by sundown they are "lickered up" enough to have enough courage to act on their racism. During the day, like most cowards, even with numbers on their side, they hesitate before throwing that first punch.

If the Supreme Court were to rule that it was nobody's business whether two people traded sex for money, rock concert tickets, drinks and dinner, or any other common exchange, then you'd have a truly unregulated, capitalistic market.

Look at marijuana, even where it's illegal there are millions of people who will openly admit they smoke pot. How many people do you know that will admit that they are a hooker or a john?
