You might negotiate once a year depending on contract or employment type, some folks might negotiate every few years or even less often, if at all. But what if your boss came to you every day and asked you to justify your worth and negotiate your salary? Would you still feel the same?

Sure, there are some professions where negotiating is a big part of the job, car salesman comes to.mind. But they're negotiating the value of an asset. I would think that negotiating your own self worth on a daily basis would be exhausting and often demoralizing.  Not that I would turn down a deal if I could get one, just saying that it seems to me that a one off annual salary negotiation is not the same as a daily payment or single "transaction" negotiation
