Worst dates are more entertaining.
I can barely follow the "no sex in the restaurant during the first date" rule. lol
Just as people slow down by a car wreck....car wrecks of a date are more interesting and thankfully rare imo.
There is an unwritten rule in conventional dating that you don't talk about "the exes" - however, I see that rule broken here a lot. There are "worst date" stories summoned up quite a bit, naturally in conversation. They are also asked to me - which can be awkward.
This can become habit forming if not careful, and become a slip of the tongue in a date where a gentleman or lady may not be interested in whomever else you have seen in your life.
My stories on dates generally include old Match stories, or old conventional dating - and they can be quite entertaining. They usually are stories of why I don't date conventionally anymore. At least not now.
How do you all feel about these unwritten rules? Are there any rules you see in conventional dating that are regularly broken here?

I don't mention other ladies, and please ladies, don't talk about other guys. Good or bad. It destroys the fantasy.
In conventional dating, the boundaries and expectations are not very well defined and the boundaries change.
One unwritten rule in conventional dating is that you get to know each other before you fuck. And if you are a straight non hormonally challenged guy - getting that pussy is always a consideration. Making sure that the pussy doesn't get mad and lock up is always a reason that guys will put up with all sorts of shit - hence the term "pussy-whipped". As an example, no guy with a man card ever actually wants to go XMAS shopping at a mall. EVER. And, of course, there are expectations with respect to monogamy if you get serious... and an expectation of getting serious if you put in enough time. In other words, boundaries change.
In P4P, the boundaries are pretty well set. You may have folks who push them BUT everybody knows what the boundaries are supposed to be and they don't GENERALLY change. Ok - that's a generalization but I think it has truth in it.
Since, in P4P, all we know about each other is how we behave BCD - then sex is a natural and reasonable conversation topic especially between rounds. It's what we have in common. It's also a way of figuring out sexual boundaries in a non confrontational manner. I have never asked about the worst session - but I have asked about the best/wildest session...
Another "unwritten rule" in conventional dating is that a guy being direct about what you want is not considered gentile - at least until you get to the "monkey sex" stage. In P4P, directness works well - or at least it does for me. Obviously, you can't be a dick and expect good results but at the same time, no provider I have run into wants to play twenty questions either

Some, however, did NOT get laid. They used old pictures/didn't look like their pictures. They were the same person, but not the same BMI.

....since no one likes to feel like they are the only one who wound up on a lousy date. Either re-telling a story of woe (or hearing about someone else's bad time) brings a bit of comradery amongst us mongers. It can be comforting to know that others also occasionally have bad encounters, so it makes you feel not so alone

I'm fairly certain we all experienced most of the SAME ups and downs if we've been around long enough. Sharing is caring.
Caveat ... no, not the same assholedness expressed and admitted to by some of our more perverse contributors.
Funny, but I've never told a worst date story in real life. I'm too interested in the current lady to even think about old encounters.
However, it's different on p4p dates. I love listening to, and telling p4p war stories with atfs. For us, that has always been pillow talk. And I've heard some doozies over the years. Plus, I'm more of a realist. We've all f*cked thousands of different people, so I don't have any sort of fantasy that would prevent me from enjoying a wild story.
One of them ended up with me face-to-face with my wife at the hotel room.
Two of them ended up with me having to meet with LE. (no charges, gotte se dank)
But the worst was when a gal took off on an overnight for "a couple of hours" and didn't show up again until daylight, leaving me to wonder if she got murdered or what.
Several more got ruined by her excessive drinking
Well of course P4P rules are different from RL. The basic what tdo you like / what will you do / can we ... are much more appropriate in P4P on a first meeting.
As far as war stories, ladies, unless I ask, I don't want to hear about it.
