I just installed the TOR browser on my laptop.

Does anyone know if an iPhone can handle TOR?

In any case, I'm surprised to see that there are 77,000+ users on line given the USA ban.

Gotta update my MAC but free VPN helped.  The weird part is that most of the vanilla world doesn’t know censorship on such a large scale has hit us here. Wow

Right now, it seems like more of the ladies have found their way back than the gents...

OpenVPN has a free 7 day trial and is working flawlessly on all devices.  Super easy to install and it works by default with ease.

Most of my stuff was shut down but there are a hand full of places to turn to. Twitter has been an awesome info source for revamping safely and securely. I'm working hard to remain optimistic in spite of the horrible censorship sweeps.

I'll be around if anyone needs anything I'm able to do :)

Thank you TER for keeping the line open !!!! Kisses, xo Austin

Protonmail offers a VPN option with their paid email membership package.  FYI.  I've also used Private Internet Access.

without a VPN.  And this is since 2007 or so.  It's not like it's some mystery or new technology.  Everyone really should have been doing this from the beginning.  So 77k online doesn't surprise me at all.

Oh wow... I'm definitely going to have to help some of my local friends and ladies get set up so we don't lose touch.

I dropped it because it was clunky & switched to Nord VPN on iPad & laptop. I'm told that TOR is not necessarily secure, since you can be intercepted at any node.
Still, TOR/onion are a good free option.

I installed the Onion browser on my iPad this morning and was able to get here very quickly... so far it’s free and connects here quickly but it’s far from perfect. For one thing. I tried to click on a providers site and was given a captcha test that I couldn’t get thru. I have no problem getting to that site from Firefox. So Onion is looking like a kludgy way to connect.

Would I be better off installing a VPN on my iPad so I can use Firefox.. is there a different tradeoff?

I’m not concerned about my privacy...it’s my home router . ..
I’m  more concerned about getting to see what I want to see easily
