Critics of the site www.airbnb.com  have pointed to short term rentals of people's apartments as being "ideal for mobile drug dens and prostitution".

With Air B&B, people are agreeing to let *you* stay in their home. And I'm sure that comes with an implicit understanding that you're not going to have all and sundry traipsing through their place. It just smacks as unethical to me.
