I started watching “The Girlfriend Experience” on STARZ. In this show a law intern gets involved with being an escort. The show really focuses on the different situations she has with the different guys she’s seeing.
One of the regular guys she sees dies and leaves her half a million dollars in his will, but to her provider name, and she has to prove that’s who she is to get the inheritance, and the guy’s family is very upset that he left money to her and fights her over it. Ladies, have any of you ever watched this? Is is realistic to the real situations that providers have? Not just the situation with the inheritance, but any of the issues she faces in the show? It seems very realistic to what a provider would experience.
is not plausible. If a man has enough money to leave half a million to a provider, he's not going to write his will on the back of an envelope. He'll use a lawyer to write his will and trust. Beneficiaries are named with a great deal of specificity to avoid confusion. The lawyer would ask for the full legal name, date of birth, relationship, the city of residence, etc. Simply saying "my friend Jane Doe, I don't know her birthday" will cause the lawyer to ask questions that the guy will have to answer if he wants the provider to get the dough.
Also, if a guy is enough of a 'regular' to leave her half a million, he will know her real name and her birthday. Chances are he would have taken trips by airplane with her for which he had to know her real name and birthday in order to buy the tickets.
FWIW, I saw that the name of the law firm in the show is Kirkland and Allen. This is too close to one of the oldest and richest firms, Kirkland and Ellis, to be a coincidence.
Did you know that the actress who plays the lead character in season 1 is Elvis Presley’s granddaughter?!? I found that out a while back and found it very interesting.
I agree, I thought season #1 was great. Season #2 was just not as engaging, did not draw me in as much. Riley Keogh (Elvis's granddaughter) was great in #1, she's been in a number of movies, I always enjoy her acting.
I know a state supreme court judge who paid her way through Stanford and S Law. She worked for a major company and served as #4 at dinners and then her job was to get the contract signed
