How do providers handle a client's SO Texting/calling them? Do you answer, text back or ignore?  

Personally I ignore text messages and phones calls and notify the client via e-mail the time that it's taking place.  

Hobbyist (Male/Female) Have you ever been caught by your SO  or  has a provider ever called you and your SO answer?

Why are you calling my husband's phone?  Who are you? It's only happened one time but I answered my phone and didn't know what else to say. I just said, hello and off she went.  The client actually thanked me for playing it off.  What else was I gonna say? Lol  
Btw Roxanne,  how many phone calls and text have you received from SO's?  I've only had it happen one time in years.

It's really all about each party comfort level with each other.
I have used text messages with providers in the past.
Since we have a good comfort level with each other.

It has happened to me three times this year. I just ignore it and let the gentleman know next time he calls. No point in talking to her can only cause drama and bullshit.

If my wife ever text you or any other provider if they like female clients it would be unwise to ignore her. She is likely trying to book you. LOL. Have I ever been caught? Sure since I don't hide it. And no no provider ever called me and got my wife as my wife doesn't like to talk on the phone and ignores numbers she doesn't recognize she isn't expecting.  

But funny story. Once a date ended up talking to my wife. One lady I seen once kept asking questions about my wife and comparing herself to my wife, even after I asked her to stop and even when balls deep into her. It annoyed me to the point I grabbed my phone, called my wife mid sex and handed the lady the phone and told her to ask my wife. Needless to say she freaked when she found out I really called her, and my wife wasn't too happy ether. I was in hot water, but it was funny as hell and she kept bringing my wife up so, we'll it was worth it.

Look I am proud of wife and don't mind talking about her, but not while balls deep in another woman. And it is unwise to make me compare skills between my wife and another woman. My wife knows her way around a cock and knows my cock better than anyone. The other woman doesn't stand a chance.

I once answered a phone call from a sex worker calling my wife, it was no big deal as she knew I knew about her and I gave my wife her message she was running late and needed to reschedule for a later time that day. No big deal.

Anyway back to your thread. If it is my wife texting, text her back, but if it is a more typical woman, I wouldn't if I was you. There would likely be too much drama to follow. There is an old saying "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." And ask any guy it lasted so long because it is so very true. You don't want any part of it. Do not respond but save them incase you need a restraining order later if she gets stalker like. Women are nuts and hurting women aren't to be toyed with.

As for contacting the guy, do so, but after drop him. You don't want any of the drama that will follow. See above.

The call caught me by surprised.Needless to say it was very awkward but in my line of work I hire models for shows that I do. I just said she was a hire model that I used from time to time....that explained all the calls and texting that we did...hehe.
It was a custody battle she was having, that's why he was checking on her, plus he wanted her back...ahhh some guys.

(To the OP):  If he is so careless as to let his SO find his cell phone, etc., then you don't really want to hang with him in the first place.

I did read a quote this morning that said, "Do you know why divorces are so expensive?", "Because they are so damn worth it!".

Now I've been through 3 divorces and I'm not sure all 3 were worth what they cost.

I just thought it was common sense. Nothing good could come out of me getting into an argument with someone's SO. I wouldn't like that done to me so why do it to someone else.

In 7 months maybe 4 times, I thought it was a common problem. I'm just a bit weird, after a certain time I don't answer the phone or text messages. Had someone blow up my phone at 3a.m once, that was not cool.

Like I said, this is an old subject, (don't feel bad about that fact, new subjects are hard to come up with on a board that's fifteen years old) and you would be surprised how many hookers that should know better have chosen to engage the enraged spouse in conversation. As you said, "Nothing good" can come out of it, no more than should someone try to talk their way out of trouble with a cop, nothing good is going to come out of it.

I do have to agree with the other posters who suggest you cut the client loose as well. Do you really want the prospect of his BSC wife calling, texting or showing up at your door hanging over your head?

you certainly don't want to confirm that you know the guy.  If you think yu can get away with the 'husband's phone' routine, that's fine but if the smuck has stupidly saved it under your name, she won't buy it.  Or if she does, she'll figure it out pretty quickly.  
The safest thing is to block the number immediately...  like you would any spam call...    
Don't want to ignore?  Maybe text back "I don't know who you are.  I am blocking your number."  The hardest one is if SO gets HIS phone...  and texts you...  could you tell without confiring what SO thinks she knows?  

As far as a SO blowing up your phone at 3AM...  you shouold have a "work phone" just as we have "hobby phones"...  and shut it off when you are off duty.  

As a hobbiest...  I erase my call log before I leave her.  It does mean I must look up numbers to book appointments.  A SO intercept would have to happen, between booking & the appointment
