This is a great money maker for TER which I have no problem with ... and an excellent marketing tool for providers (which I have questions about)

First from a Hobbyist point of view ... TMT has Kadi on his white list .. however he hasn't posted a review of her ... Meaning to me that he has seen her socially (which is cool)

Marketing point. TMT has seen Kadi, TMT and I have the same interests maybe I should check out Kadi.

Provider stand point, Kadi knows TMT, but only socially, so what's he really like one on one? and why is Kadi on his list for his or her benefit?

Another exemple Mr. Smarty already has 4 ladies on his white list.  Did he contact these ladies or did they find out about it on their own.

Again is this a marketing tool for the ladies? Or are the ladies going to vouche for someone being safe. I scratch your back you scratch my back

Smarty's review of Tasha is 2 years old .. and even though Tasha has tons of reviews I wouldn't have looked in her direction because (1) review is just that two years old and (2) when I scan a girl's reviews I usually never go further than what's posted on the current page.  So if not for appearing on Smarty's white list I may never have known he saw her.

Now that Tasha is on Smarty's white list that peaks my curiousity.  Even though Smarty reviewed Tasha 2 years ago doesn't mean that she isn't his girl friday or is it just that Tasha hasn't seen Smarty for two years now (how am I to know)

What information is a provider going to get from a 2 year old review or from contacting Tasha ... Yes I saw Smarty 2 years ago he was alot of fun.  People can change alot in two years.

I also think that his allows the hobbyist to steer providers in a certain direction when they do their screening (biggest fear) I don't think  Smarty is going to have anyone on his White list that isn't going to speak very highly of him for whatever reason (marketing or safety) so what's the point of a list? A provider can view Smarty's reviews and find out the same info. If she wasn't on his white list the provider might look at all of his reviews and pick someone else.

Sara of Texas asked me for references.  I told her to contact anyone she wanted to. In a phone conversation with her I asked her who she knew in Las Vegas, she asked me if I knew her friend  Logan,  I told Sara that even though I have never met Logan I have been with some of Logan's friends and that she might want to start there.  I also told her that she could always post on the Vegas board and ask an open question, " Hey, I'm seeing Spinner in two weeks is he really the asshole everyone thinks he is or is he safe and fun to be with."  To me this is a much safer approach then using the White list.. your not steering a provider in any paticular direction

There you go again making some assumptions.

First of all as Nico has put, she HAS seen TMT and you are assuming not.

AS TMT has pointed out it is a source for screening. Is it the only source? Of course not. Again, as Nico states many of the professionals will do more than look at that white list for their safety of comfortlevel prior to commiting.

Since you name dropped, what makes you think I only saw the one lady two years ago. Have you ever seen a lady more than one? Have you seen her also socially as well from time to time? Do you keep in touch with many of the ladies you have seen? I would suspect from every posting that we see from you, that you keep in touch with many for long periods of time. That is all a good thing, for you and maybe other providers that may look at your white list.

You right I don't think I would want someone on my white list that is not a great provider, nor would she want to be is she did not like me either. It works both ways.

As for the fine lady from the Lone Star, I can assure you she knows many providers and hobbiest alike in Las Vegas. The reasons for the exchange between you and her are personal in nature. Perhaps, and say this in contrast to your theory, just perhaps had she just seen you long list of Spinner girls on the white list, it may have been a done deal. Maybe not totally, because again she may use many other sources for screening and this is but one.

I will agree with you on one thing. I agree that you are "maybe reading way to much into this"

If I see a lady today or tomorrow, I see nothing wrong either with asking then or maybe later after I come out of the comma to be on my white list. We all remember the very first time we had an experience with no references. Hard hobby for some to break into, when there is nothing.

Nothing is perfect. Enjoy the ride. Lets revist this when your list grows to 50 on your white list. I want to get your opinion again. Okay

The provider should be able to rate the guy when she adds herself to his white list. Ratings could be recommend and highly recommend.

I don't know about who one sees, sees socially, or whatnot...and it does seem that the White List, and reviews for that matter aren't gonna tell you that...but in defense of Mr TMT...since he is a Moderator, he isn't allowed to write reviews, so any ladies he has seen since becomeing a moderator, will not have a review from him.

The ideal benefit of the white list might actually come in the form of moderators, and others that don't write reviews for whatever reason, getting a nod from ladies they have seen since they won't have reviews to show they are "OK" clients.

For the guys like you and Mr Smarty, you can have a White List that contains nods from each lady you have reviewed (those that are still working)...but does that actually add anything to you or the lady's credibility?

As to the idea of clients asking to be white Listed...I don't like it, I don't like it any more than I like ladies asking to be reviewed, it puts someone on the spot...like a client that gets asked to reveiw a lady may fear she won't see him again if he doesn't, or if the review isn't the rating she wants...so could now ladies be put on the spot to White List a client for fear he won't see her again, or that he may be less than kind when referring (or not) her to others, and that can cut into her business...I think both reviews and White Listing should be done at the discretion of the client and provider respectively, without anyone calling, writing or asking at the end of a session for it to be done, and if either chooses not to for any reason it shouldn't be seen as a negative or used against them.

In the same way that I trust less reveiews of ladies that ask them to be written, I would trust less the "recommendation" of a lady that was asked to make it, and it wouldn't make me think the client that great a guy...but that's me.

Biggest downside i see to a White List is corroboration of reviews, that a lady placing a client on a white list has the effect of her saying "yes, I saw him as a provider", couple that with a review and all the "juicy details, and that can make a pretty good "case" for she did what the reveiew says..not that anyone would actualyy use that against a lady in any sort of proceedings or anything.  *smirk*

Best use for the White List I can figure is a statement of sorts from the ladies that put someone there, saying "He's not LE or a psycho...or at least wasn't when I saw him"...and shouldn't be used in place of normal screening, and shouldn't be looked at as a TER meber on the White List, no matter how many ladies have added there names to his list, as being more respectable, having more pull, more weight or more influence...just like a member with 75 reviews shouldn't be seen as more of an expert, or having more pull with other members or ladies than someone with 10 or 5 or none for that matter.  

The White List is just one more thing that could be beneficial if used correctly, and useless at best, misleading and dangerous at worst, if misused...just like the boards and just like reveiws.  *grin*

Yes a client should not have to make the request. I heard of stories where a provider will tell a client, "I can only give you a reviewers discount if you post a new review".
