Hello, a photographer friend says that he has a friend who owns some Chinese-language porn sites.  The claim is the Chinese want to see American models, so they provide this site.  The photographer says he'll take a few shots of me and pay me $100 for 15 min. of my time, and if they are wanted, they'll pay more.

When the site got launched, apparently the web master put in ads around the US for "Model for Overseas Erotic Productions" or something like that.

Has anyone ever done this?  Is this legit or is this guy trying to take me for a ride?

Your decisions are not mutually exclusive - likely he IS making a site, and likely he IS taking you for a ride (or wants to do so).  

Which doesn't mean you cant have fun doing it either.

No "Chinese porn" site would care about paying models - there are a gazillion downloads for free if he were really looking for site content.  More likely its a photo-fetishist (hey, I'm down with that!) who hopes for an upsell....and who may actually be making porn sites on the side.  If you are cool with that, I'd say press on.

Bigger question to answer: are you comfortable posing for cash, knowing the shots will end up 'on the net'.  Last time I checked, my grandmother didn't know if her porn was coming from China or from Kansas: your shots could end up closer to home than you wanted.

I dont know how many photographers have called me emailed me ect if they are not reputable dont do it if its overseas remember americans go overseas ALOT! Some one will see it just pray it gets buried with new material soon! Sorry this happened to you never fall for this crap! Angela
