Because I was under the belief that feminism was about female empowerment, so be it.  
   
 That's far from a negative way of viewing feminism, her choice, but next time her pal Nicky calls a lady a slut, or GaG calls a lady a whore. I want her to remember that she took THIS opportunity to stand up against someone on the board.

Katy Perry can sing but I've been with way hotter providers. No point, really, just that I've never taken a good hard look at her before and beyond her obvious singing talent I don't get what the big deal is about her.

Now if Pink does a halftime show, that will be an entirely different matter. Any providers feel like they've got a Pink thing going on? I might even be moved to get on a plane for the prospect of that encounter! :-)

I was actually lmao at all the commercials with "dad types" in them and how those guys look like potential clients... I play the same game when I go to lunch with my other hooker friends; we check out all the guys that look like a clients... Lol Food for thought, too far gone in the hobby!!! Lol!!!

and just in case someone wants to start the whole, "well you only like 19 year olds" on me, I will admit that I find Shakira quite doable, even if she is a MILF who is pushing forty.

also for the record, I found the halftime show as amateurish and boring as any halftime show I have seen in years. I couldn't believe that with a budget like they had to work with, that was the best they could come up with. I will say that was more than made up for with one of the best actual games in a Superbowl that I have seen in quite some time.

Her half time show pretty much summed up her original brand, cartoony/shroom trippy. I think she did a great job sticking with the theme... I liked the ending a lot.

I think the special effects were well done too. Gotta say I loved beyonce's half time show.  

Vocals of Katy perry, I've never been impressed with. More her character, looks, and personality. I know she's not a diva singer like most, and I would have enjoyed those shows more. Nothing captivating about her voice, (at all,) which definitely effects her performances. (For me, at least.)

Would I like to look like that? Yes. But I definitely agree Shakira's look is a natural, long lasting beauty, where Katy has a plastic look.  

I personally like the plastic look on girls if I had a choice in who I was hiring for P4P. Just a weird thing I have.

The last time I "hit a club", Robert Palmer was a big name act. Of course, he's dead now. ;)

I get a kick out of the most recent generations' embracing of acronyms such as LOL, OMG, ROFL, etc. There's a nail salon near me called "OMG Nails".  

The acronyms came into use when the internet was born, and were meant to minimize the use of hard drive space, and speed up the transmission of emails, chat room talk, etc. This was back even before a 20 megabyte hard drive and a 14.4 dialup modem were big deals. Now we have drives measured in terrabytes and petabytes, and upload and download speeds in the megabytes. The acronyms are now anachronisms, but they're cool.

Funny you should say this.  I am past your age limit, but comparing yourself to Pink makes me feel like falsifying my birth certificate and getting plastic surgery.  For a long time now, I have felt that I could spend time with one famous person in the entire showbiz world, it would be her.  I don't just mean sex either.  I love the "strong woman" message in her music, her sense of humor, her talent, and so on.  I don't emphatuate easy, but for me Pink brings it on.  And there you have it.  

Katy Perry.  Doesn't do much for me at all.
