you can whitelist a provider? Learned something new!

I have a few WLs on my main handle, but they're +5 years old, so for a provider who wants "recent" data, not much use. If the TER community grew back to its former greatness, WLs might be of more value, but in today's anti-review/real-ID required/deposit required, etc... world, a WL is no longer of significant value.

I also don't think that anyone can deny the apparent quid pro quo of reviews and whitelists.

Do you care? I tend to whitelist gents that I meet who care about TER & a personal vouch from a reputable provider. I also, whitelist providers I meet. What do you think?

Some guys don’t write reviews & therefore do not care.

At Sol's funeral an old lady in back continually interrupted, saying, "Give him some chicken soup." Finally, the rabbi got fed up and told her: "Madam, the man is dead. Chicken soup is not going to help!"
Her reply came back: "Well, it couldn't hoit!"
White lists are like that. They don't really do much but they couldn't hurt.

Agree with inicky. But I am honored by the women who have done so for me and thank them!

by a provider and never regretted not having any. I screen with indies using references from other indies.  If that's not sufficient, I draw a line through their name and go to the next one on my list.

It's equally possible for a customer to have reviews and not care about white lists, or not have either.  There are also some customers that have white lists, but no reviews.

I'm no expert on this but I didn't think you could refuse to allow a White Listing. I haven't checked mine lately but for years I had one from a girl I'd never even met. I think I pointed it out to TER but they didn't remove it

It can be done. Happened to me when a provider I never met whitelisted me, presumably as revenge for making a comment suggesting that she was not my type. TER removed it,I think they also removed her as she was instigating a lot of issues.

I guess I should feel more empathy toward providers who get fake reviews, but have no hard proof.

now? Not so much. Between the Whitelist and P411 Okays, shit that was all I needed. But now, I'm not on P411 and the Whitelist is just a reminder of all the young ladies who thought so highly of me to honor me with their own little shout out.
And by the way, I never asked to be Whitelisted...they just pop up a few days after our little "escape". But they were helpful...back in the day.

Don't have any whitelist, no p411, never asked, never will ask. I don't use references either. Pretty much any time topic has come up with providers about background, they've all told me I have good reviews associated with my phone number, so no need for references or deposit
