sit around with high heels, thigh highs on, my hair and making all done up while I tap my nails bored waiting on pins and needles for you to call my phone and book a appt with me.
Seriously, I STILL do not get why men seem to think we should be READY RIGHT NOW
or, they can be high powered execs, doctors, lawyers, silicon valley tech geniuses, yet CAN NOT seem to pass reading comprehension?
Oh lets not forget the guys wasting our time, with no intention of actually SHOWING UP. They book the session, and have no respect or courtesy to call and cancel or hey, maybe if you really are not coming, why not even waste our time?
I am sure if the show was on the other foot, you would be moaning and groaning about the provider. Or, if you have a 12p lunch meeting in which your going to sign a money making deal that you have been working on, and they do not call or email or tell you that they are standing you up, and you sit there, time wasted, losing money you could have been making instead. You would be pretty damn pissed off!
I know if that happens to a Lawyer, Doctor, Accountant, well guess what? you get the time billed to you regardless!
Oh lets not forget common MANNERS. Would you call up your Doctor and blurt out "are you available?" "I want to come over" "where you at"
"whats up, I want a appointment"
NO, you would say " hi this is so and so, etc and be POLITE! You know you only get one chance to make a first impression (this includes phone and email)? Also when I worked in customer service, we learned that you can tell 90 percent about the person based on the first 10 seconds of talking to them.
I can not count how many calls I have gotten this week where the guys
1. want to come over RIGHT NOW (sorry asking for a hour notice is NOT unreasonable)
2. are flaky, not serious, book appts, do not show up, waste my time emailing or calling then flake, no show, or cancel last minute!
3. do not bother to read my ads, sure my ad is long and I do it for the reason that if you take a whole maybe 30-45 seconds to READ it would know what services I offer and for how long and how much!
4. are just flat our RUDE! (I know you men have SOME form of manners, so why do you not use them?)
Most men do not need reminders of the above, but it seems that the worse the economy has gotten, the men who DO fall into the above categories has increased DRAMATICALLY
If you can dream it, you can do it.
WALT DISNEY
put your phone numbers in your ads or websites! If you are an email only contact girl, guess what? You won't get the guys that want to come over right now! Or the horny drunks at 3 am for that matter.
And you are probalby preaching to the choir anyway, because I would lay odds that the guys you are talking about are not the guys reading these boards, sinjce TEr is only a tiny part of this community.
my phone number on my actual website is very hidden, I mean you have to be really rwading it to find it...
the obvious contact is my online form
but yes you can find my phone number is listed on other sites so
No need to feel inferior, many women have not learned to be comfortable in bustier or push-up bra 24/7, and obviously it is a challenge to keep the make-up continually fresh. It takes hard work and perseverance, but you can do it girl!
If June Cleaver can cook dinner for four seven days a week on a cocktail dress, pearls, and heels, you can do anything!
Rant on.
I am sure that there are plenty of fellows on here who can list providers who are are flaky, not serious, book appointments and do not show up or answer their phone when we arrive, waste our time emailing or calling then flake, no show or cancel last minute, provide an incall location that is a dump, do not provide what their ads say they do, don't stay for the full duration of the appointment, upsell, bring their kids, pimp or drug boy to the appointment, show up stoned or drunk, rip us off or are just flat our RUDE!
So please don't think that you have cornered the market on unhappy times.
Rant off.
with the economy hitting its lows, I have had more of the above than ever before and I am not alone lol
Look, there's always gonna be bad apples in the bunch.
And while you might have a valid point, whichever side you are on, the sad fact is that coming onto a board to bitch about it is gonna make you come off as being a little bit of a whiner, even if that's not the case.
Bottom line...a little respect should be given on both ends.
So, do you then really appreciate the guys that are NOT flakes, that treat you with respect, that actually read your website, that show up on time clean and ready to have fun????
I hope so !!
I love those men so much! I show it
The sad truth is that girls who get the reputation of being whiners and complainers aren't gonna get the bookings.
I'm NOT saying that you fall into this category, but I do know of a few providers that bitch about how they are not getting booked, why business is so slow, etc.
This is a people business. It really is. When you start to come off as someone who is upset with the clientele, it ends up hurting your business. Does that mean that you don't have valid points? Not at all. Many of your points are extremely valid, and I share your frustration. If I were a provider and saw that all day, I'd be upset, too.
Having said that, please consider that you are working in a position where you can make more money than most others in this country can make. Consider that even at $300/hour (I didn't check your rate, so I am not making specific reference to you), you are essentially asking the average US worker to more or less work for free for a day in order to spend time with you for an hour.
I can only use my own geographical locale as an example. But I know one provider who thinks that it should be easy to get clients at $300/hour. What she doesn't realize is the math behind it. Let's say that her average client makes $100k/year. In NYC, that probably means $60k/year after taxes. And that amounts to $5k/month. $60k/year is about the same thing as $30/hour. So if a guy works eight hours a day, he is making about $240 a day after taxes.
This guy just worked an entire day for free to see you for an hour. And that's a guy who makes $100k/year. Let's say the guy makes $75k/year. At a 40% tax rate, that's $45k/year or about $22.50/hour. A guy working eight hours makes $180/day. So he needs to work almost two days to see a girl for an hour.
Even a guy making $250k/year at 40% means he is making $75/hour. And at $300/hour, that's half of his workday given up for free to see you for an hour. And that's not even to talk about the girls who are charging $400, $500, and more per hour. You can see how onerous the math can be, especially in a down/shitty economy.
No guy wants to deal with an attitude when he is booking with a girl. A guy has a lot of choices, and if a girl is expecting onerous screening or a guy to give her lots and lots of notice, then he might just as soon pass. Now, no guy should expect that a girl should be ready on the wire to just say, "Come over," but I really think that's the minority.
Again, I am not saying that you are bitching needlessly or without merit. Guys SHOULD treat providers with respect. But also remember what you are asking...you are asking guys to give up a day's worth of work for free to see you for an hour.
The economy sucks, and because of that, a little appreciation of the math involved is in order.
My two cents...
I am a massage provider, so I run my business a little differently due to some previous experience in the spa industry.
I've worked in salons, spas, resorts & independently for over 8 yrs. And I believe that in the "Beauty/SPA" business nc/ns is expected half the time. Now that's tough to deal with on a daily basis.
My attitude towards a nc/ns is "his loss" He gets put on my do not see list, his number/email is blocked. I don't worry, get angry or frustrated over that person. But unlike most full service gals, I am ready to see a client right away. Usually someone calls before or after his scheduled appt. So if I dont book another person, I go run an errand, take a long lunch or go catch a movie.
My rants are usually done during lunch with my girlfriends, a large hot sake or a good chilled Riesling and great sushi
And believe it r not some providers are every bit as flaky as us clients and clients in my line of work are as bad or worse. I am convinced 99% of the people that sign contracts do not read them good luck with getting people to read a web site a web site. It is all part of being a business. Annoying yes, but it all really is part of any gig that makes appointments. If all my costumers kept every commitment they made with me I would have a 7 figure income, but that is fantasy and so is your wishes.
I do keep my appointments. I do read the ladies website. I am polite. But anyone in any business dealing with the general public knows people by nature are inconsiderate of others when they are the customer. It is reality. If you figure out how to change reality let me know, I want that 7 figure income. Until then it is not that wise to vent to customers about other customers.
I hear you, sweetheart! I feel your frustration, and am grateful that I do not have to deal with all of that. I hope your clientele become more considerate, and that your prosperity soars. And you are more than welcome to vent to me anytime you need to. ![]()
Love and kisses,
Sarah
Before I say anything contrary, I want to let you know I am EXTREMELY sympathetic to all your concerns here. We johns can indeed be very flaky, rude, and downright intolerable. I myself hope that I have never been the latter two of these, but I confess I have flaked out on a couple of girls before. To be fair, I did call them and cancel. But one time I called late, and even when I call on time, well, that's still a last-minute cancellation. I'm very sorry about that, and I really do try to take care to avoid it happening in the future. And I completely agree that you have a right to be irritated by that kind of thing.
But please keep in mind the following points. I don't mean these to be excuses--we have no real excuses here. But hopefully they *mitigate* some of our wrongdoing.
(1) (Coming over 'right now') In my (admittedly limited) experience, when I call more than an hour in advance, the girls usually don't care. They just tell me to call back 20-30 minutes before I want the service. And when I do call back 30 minutes ahead as instructed, they often don't remember me--a clear sign that my previous call had been pointless. So maybe I'm just misinterpreting my experiences, here, but it sure seems to me like there are lots of girls who actually prefer last-minute calls.
With that in mind, sometimes 'right now' might actually mean, 'I'll leave right now and be there in 20-30 minutes.' Or it might mean, 'as soon as you're ready, whenever that happens to be.' Granted, a john should be clear about that. And no doubt there are idiots out there who think that you might really be available just that instant. But hopefully most of these guys who want appointments 'right now' don't mean it literally.
(2) (Flakiness) Some johns, myself for instance, may have to be very discrete in the way we see you folks. We can't just write 'visit prostitute' in big red letters on our appointment calendar. Instead, we often have to wait until just the right moment when our friends and coworkers aren't looking, and the wife isn't around. Planning for such moments can be extremely difficult sometimes. This leads us to be late, or early, or sometimes (hopefully rarely) not show at all. (We can and should still call if that's going to happen though.)
(3) (Reading your ad before calling) Yes, we do read your ads. But we also read a bunch of other girls' ads, and they can be tough to keep track of. If we don't have immediate access to a computer terminal, we might not remember exactly what was on your ad. 'What are your rates again? Do you offer GFE? Please remind me.' Etc. Hopefully you are not too offended at such questions. They seem like standard and relevant business inquiries to me.
Still, we should TRY to remember, and not bother you with a thousand questions only to hang up at the end without booking. But please understand, we don't all have smartphones and tablets handy. Sometimes we have to work from memory, and the memory can fail.
(4) (Rudeness) Okay, you've got us here. Nobody has an excuse for being rude, ever, under any circumstances. Period. If I ever heard someone being rude to a provider, I wouldn't hesitate to scold him severely. I am very sorry you gals have to deal with that kind of nonsense.
Anyway, those are my thoughts. Again, I'm not trying to make excuses--we have none. But it might make you feel slightly better knowing that our occasional flakiness, and so forth, is not always due to blatant disregard for your time and feelings. Instead, a lot of it is unintentional, and I for one feel very bad about it on those rare occasions when it happens.
Well said and very diplomatic
Your math is off, who is getting taxed 40 percent and you are also adding up a man's "pay" on a daily basis, where several factors come into play. I would just delete that whole comment. If you have problems paying $300 an hour, lube is 5,6 bucks a pop and www.youporn.com is free.
