Ok, here’s a question... What makes you able to say you’re a “Pornstar”?

In the real world if you’re a “movie star” it means that you are a box office draw and makes the studios 100’s of millions of dollars. You don’t have to do commercials (if you choose not to), you don’t have to do student films anymore and you don’t have to do dinner theater at some small town community center.

Within the last few years we have girls swinging through town advertising that they are pornstars. You google them, because you don’t know their “pornstar” names and you can’t find a “porn” video or if you do there might be a VERY SMALL collection of anything. To me a “Pornstar” is once again a household name that everyone knows. Ginger Lynn, Brandi Love, Julia Ann, Lesley Zen and Seka. These are “Pornstars”.

There are many character actors in the film industry that would never be considered “movie stars” and these girls aren’t even at that level let alone a “star”.

So my questions are this...  What is you perception of these self proclaimed titles that these girls assign to themselves? You fall for it? Does it actually work as far as does it play a part in your decision to book them or do you, like I do, keep scrolling because if you think you can bullshit me with that there might be trouble within this whole transaction?

When I see these claims I really do keep moving without hesitation.

You’re NOT A PORNSTAR!!!

.02 for your thoughts.

But, yes, there are LOTS of girls who've done a little porn and call themselves porn stars when they're not. And if you really want to boff a legit porn star there are several agencies who'll hook you up, assuming you're OK spending north of $1000/hr. so you can then watch porn and say to yourself, "Yeah! I tapped that!"
Not me, though I've done at least one legit porn star.

As cool as she was and a fantasy girl come true. I was very disappointed in the $$$$ ‘s spent for it wasn’t that “pornstar” experience that I thought that would have blown me away. Don’t get me wrong. She did fuck like a pornstar but so do so many  of the $$$ ones as well. I thought I was going to hear heavenly music when it was done other than guilty feeling about how much money I spent.

I also feel, that most of these self proclaimed pornstars have actually never done any porn.

It seems that any girl who has had a video posted to PornHub thinks they're now labeled a pornstar.
I'll show my age, by stating the definition of Pornstar to me would be of a " Jenna Jameson " or "Raquel Darrien " stature.

Not....4 vids shot on a cellphone, and uploaded to the web.

The term "star" has never had a consistent or intrinsic meaning -- in Hollywood or in porn.  Since a female "porn star" is often the sole female character in the video she is therefore "lead" and is entitled to the term "star" as any other lead in any other film or video -- as one common definition of "star" meaning "lead."
.
So yes, porn stars are "stars" just like other "stars" ... and not because it is meaningful, but because it is meaningless.

I'll just lay out some facts/thoughts on the general topic of Porn Stars:

1. The concept of a "Star" in the porn industry grew out of a desire to create a system parallel to the Hollywood Star ideal. "Hollywood" (i.e.: The big money studios and producers) would sign an actor to a multi-film contract, then invest heavily in movie production, advertising, premier events, creating press "buzz", etc., to get the public to see the movies with their stars. In the 80's and 90's the porn industry tried to emulate this model for the same reasons - to get people to watch their movies.  But the internet changed all that by greatly reducing the cost to distribute adult content directly to the public. So in the last 20 years, the porn industry Star system has been diminishing, as big dollar studios and producers have had to compete with home-grown content providers.

Now a "porn star" could be anyone who (based on their own criteria) decides they have a significant following for their content that they should be considered a star

Yes, there are still the traditional stars around, typically signed with a professional agent and perhaps "signed" by the current major content producers, as well as being noticed by industry media like AVN. But they are only a shadow of the 80's and 90's stars like those named above.

2. Some porn stars have been escorting since the beginning of porn. The methods, visibility and access to this service has varied widely with the times. And perhaps, again with the help of the internet, awareness and access to everyday mongers to porn star escorts has never been easier.

3. A porn star is not a sex goddess (or sex god, if that's your thing).  Any given scene you see in a porn movie is scripted (even gonzo is still directed), placed on a controlled set with a director and crew. The final 20-30 minute supposedly spontaneous scene you see is probably the result of days of planning, hours of set design and production work, hours of footage shot a few minutes at a time according to a shoot schedule (BJ, BJ POV, Deepthroat, 69, Mid, Doggy, etc.) and careful editing to harvest the best shots and assemble the best sex story fantasy that fits the directors vision.

When you book a porn star escort, you want the 30-minute finished product fantasy. But you get a human, who might need to stop a position when her leg cramps, or need to go pee, or doesn't really look that hot in that position without makeup and lights, etc. So yes, generally expect a porn star to be skilled due to experience, but don't expect it to be orders of magnitude better than any other sex you've had JUST because she has been on video many times.  That doesn't mean you won't have an unforgettable experience.

Just understand that your enjoyment is as much due to her fulfilling YOUR fantasy as it is her proficiency at a specific sex act or projected attitude towards you. "Oh yes, Daddy! Fuck my tight little hole!" does not mean she necessarily connects with you as her sexy role play Daddy. Ask yourself this: If you did not know she was a porn star, would you still get the same satisfaction? Would you still pay $1,000 to $3,000 or more for a AVN-proclaimed Star?

4.  As with all providers, not all porn star escorts are alike. Don't expect that each PS escort will have the same menu/rules/service as others. And don't expect that you will get the same services she performed in your favorite scene. Just like any provider, each one stays only within their own comfort level. So do the same level of research before you book as you would for any provider.

Having said all that, I have been fortunate to spend quality time with 5 porn star escorts. Fortunately for me, 2 are have become good friends and we message regularly between bookings about non-booking stuff.

So what criteria should be used to classify a provider as a porn star?  Whatever criteria YOU think works for you.
