Well, I think it is preposterous that a bunch of Attorney Generals had the C.L board take down the erotic services board.  Other than alternative newspapers (here in Boston, THe Phoenix)...what other local type web sites might have samplings which aren't complete b.s?

Just go back to Craigslist. You'll still find all the ads there, but they are under "adult services" instead of "erotic services".

Just a name, a phone number and/or email and a photo in street clothes.

Sort of like going to a movie theater and finding no more posters, just names and times of the movie.

Oh well.

There are a lot less ads on C/L now.  I think cityvibe and backpage are the two closest things to C/L.

That's what they're wearing in the ads. The only difference I see is they're not including their rates anymore, although "roses" still seems to sneak by. They still say stuff like "check out my TER reviews".

On backpage they have all the pictures just like the old CL. The site can't handle the load all the time.

I don't know what city you are in. If it's major city trying googling the city and asp or the city and the word escorts. Many major cities have local small boards. San Diego has sdasp and Phoenix has phxasp and then you can also search on TER the review section. Fill in the blanks for what you desire and let TER do the work. YOU will then a list of reviewed providers. What could be easier than that. Also the ref sites like date check and p411 have lists of calls.
There also a new site  providerreport. It's good in my city, but no all cities.
