and it's not like I had a "short fuse" or anything like that, it's just that when having these "conversations" with obvious racists, I soon discovered that no matter what I said we were going to end up in a fight, and considering that I have never weighed much more the 175 lbs in my life and I was usually outnumbered as well. I learned that I  won a lot more fights when landing the first blow than I did after getting sucker punched in my own mouth. At my "advanced age" things like this rarely turn physical, so I am MUCH less likely to punch someone for "stupid talk" as I once was.
