After reading a post on TER about how women enjoy the little man being shaved, I promptly performed the task. Serious mistakes were made.
Mistake #1: dry shaving. Always lather and hydrate the guy and surrounding area first. Stange little bumps cause by curly hairs growing back into the skin occur if you don't. Makes you about as popular as a lepar with the ladies.
Mistake #2: Failing to appreciate the fact that 2-3 days later, the stubble is irritating as all get out (for me).
Mistake #3: Failing to appreciate that the stubble is equally displeasing to my SO who can't figure out why the heck I got this wild hair to shave the little guy in the first place. Condoms seem to mask the irritation.
The good part: I like a shaved cat, and I now have HUGE respect for the women that have this excellent grooming. It's a daily deal, which is far more committment than I have.
I prefer to soak in a hot bathtub for a good 10-15 minutes, then use soap and a razor. I do it semi-regularly, when being active maybe twice a week; if not, on the same day as the date.
Now, you might ask what benefits might a middle-aged guy like me get from pruning my secret garden? The most obvious one is getting BBBJs from ladies who generally are CBJ providers. It surprised me a great deal. The other one is that I'm big on cleanliness. I guess some of the girls were impressed by said grooming habits.
Ladies will give you a lot of reasons why they shave their kitty, it's cleaner, it's for lingerie, bikinis, etc. The real reason is because guys like it that way. Way I see it, least I could do was return the favor.
On my last trip to Germany to visit FKK-land, I would say half the guys were shaved down there, and certainly most of the younger guys.
My wife also found the stubble irritating, so I have let it grow back.
But it might be worth explaining how I prevented the suspicion that is inherent in such a change of habit. I mentioned the idea to my wife while she was sleeping and waited for her to bring it up later.
i've been shaving for almost a year and have been very lucky, not getting razor burn. besides my SO loves it shaved. i shave in the shower, with hot water, using sensitive skin shaving cream. most importantly, use a new blade, preferably the mach 3 turbo. just remember, just as on your face, going against the grain will hurt like hell!
