it's almost certain that it will begin to become devalued.  Look what happened to the art of burlesque.  Look what happened to pornography.

Women are the only ones who can define the demimondaine because they are the ones who practice it.

You wouldn't try to tell a ballet dancer how to perform Swan Lake, would you?  Quite an exaggeration, but it's only to make a point.

It would be accurate in my view if the envelope were not a factor

but it is

only the individual *consumer* can define poor / satisfactory / good / excellent service.  

and only the consumer can asses the validity of the labels and expectations that go with.

Beyond it, no.

And the demimondaine, as well as the courtesan, is beyond mid-brow tastes and concepts.  There's no getting around it.  To misuse these words is to bastardize them.

No gentleman would characterize himself as a "consumer" of courtesans or demimondaines... and that is exactly who these women cater to.

There are no "demimondaine" on TER.

A true demimondaine does not have to "list services" or "rates" or "etiquette" or bitch about guys with dirty asses. Good Lord!

My point is that we are not at that level here. This is a consumer oriented site. No such lady would allow her name to be mentioned here.
