Sounds like a alias lightweight.
I have over 200 aliases,which I use for amusement value,to make a point, or to hide personal info that could out me in the public eye.
When I feel compelled to tell someone to Fuck off, I use my quad handle.
 I follow TER RULES and don't use  more than one handle per thread.
I doubt anyone except mods, break that rule.

One of the reasons I usually stay away from reading and responding to alias posts. Some days that doesn't leave much to read or respond to.

BTW! I took a speed-reading course, Evelyn Woods, just before I got out of the service. Figured it would help me get a job during the economic downturn at the time.

Looking down the longest thread on the opening page is one on grammar, spelling and board etiquette and the sad thing is it is one of the most interesting as well. Between yesterday and today there is only 6 new topics including this one. We need an amity day. Barring that a good train wreck. Any volunteers to start one?

I am always a little off, when we change the clocks. It looks like the cabbage recipe thread from the night before turned in to a train wreck, it was getting a bit racial. I wonder how far it went?

I just can't spell and my Droid auto corrected my miss spelling of "amnesty" to "amity". oops. Besides it would be more of a eggcorn as we could have an "amity day." Why we would want or need a day of friendship I have no clue.

For me, interest in the board dwindled drastically when one poster announced that he posted under about 60 aliases!!!!  Since that eye-opening moment,  I found I could muster no more enthusiasm for trying to have any banter here.  Perhaps others have had similar epihanies of their own for one reson or another.   Maybe that contributes to the board quietness?

People try all the time to break that rule.  You just don't see them because they get pulled.  Also, as a mod, the only time I'll allow myself that luxury is when I've posted under an alias and then have to come back and reply in red.  In those cases, I TRY to pull the original but sometimes it's been replied to.  We follow the same rules as regular users.  We're just more pompous, lol.

And you know as well as I do there's a difference....

some of us are civilized enough to watch each other's backs in this biz. that doesn't mean that we want a provider to be Mom and we don't want to be her Dad. there are risks in the hobby. completely neutral behavior (apart from enthusiastic companionship of the moment) is fine and acceptable. but some looking out for each other's back (in some sense) is valued by this hobby guy.

similarly, if someone in the hobby creates a problem, i expect them to make good or it's fair game for discussion. make a mess, clean it up. likewise if i create a problem. i'll clean it up.

if in somebodies book that makes me a goddam pussy... i don't give a damn......
