When I'm looking for someone new . . . .

Hello everyone,

Hope you're all doing well. I've been working as a web designer for about 8 years now, and lately, I've been pondering a bit of a shift in focus. Recently, while searching for a provider for a friend's bachelor party, I noticed that most of you are listed on directory ads, and only a few have your own personal websites. I couldn't help but think that the quality of these personal sites could be so much better, given what's possible with modern web design.

I'm toying with the idea of creating custom personal websites for providers, complete with a custom domain, booking system, password-protected content, SEO optimization, and all the bells and whistles. I'm genuinely curious to know if this is something you'd be interested in paying for. And if you are, would you prefer a one-time fee or a subscription-based plan?

For those of you who engage with providers as a hobby, do you think having a personal website adds a sense of professionalism and authenticity? I'd love to hear your thoughts and insights on this.

Just looking to get a sense of the community's perspective, so feel free to share your honest opinions.

Cheers,
DarkWater

Many new providers, since Covid, have opted to forego a traditional website and use OF, and other sites like it, to take its place. I think most of the clients prefer a website for many obvious reasons. It cuts down on our questions, as a well laid out and thorough website usually answers 95% of our concerns. It also gives a sense a lady takes her craft seriously and is here to stay for a bit but that is just my view and may be an outdated one. In addition, it gives us an idea of personality and professionalism, which can greatly help with us making a better informed choice.
Some women now can make quite a bit online, so the need to go out and actually meet people, strangers that is, in person may be lowered.
Rates have also skyrocketed and my opinion is that many girls may be going out on less dates than before but still making the same money, or more. Just a hunch.
I am sure there will always be a need for website designers but the girls can use some very basic sites, very cost effective too, by using companies that use templates, but like I said, it does seem like a website is a dated mode of marketing for many newer providers but thats just my anecdotal evidence. Best of luck to you!

It is so much easier to find out about someone and have up to date information on the person when they have a website.

I have never been a fan of social media, especially where the hobby is concerned.   There is too much that can go wrong with it, and it is not very user friendly.

All of the information you posted is correct. The website I use is a template and I pay $24.99 a month for it. I think most guys at least skim it, I know from the analytics they check my rates and my photos.
I have chosen not to have a booking form to fill out, just my email, as I have seen several guys complain about the time it takes to fill them out.
I am not sure what other bells and whistles guys would be interested in?
At this time I only do in person visits, so no OF or any online/facetime options.
Right now most websites for sex workers are hosted overseas since SESTA/FOSTA so I am not sure how that would affect business.
I am always open to new options and "shopping" local!! :)

That is very helpful and it just makes it that much easier for the gent to make sure you two are a good match. The TER link with your p411 page, in addition to your website with photos, is really all we need to verify you and feel comfortable meeting. Kinda like a "one stop shop" thing. lol

I agree with the suggestions here from Miss Scarlet, Fisher and RR.

I know personal websites are outdated as mentioned, but I like to see them for several reasons. I guess I’m obsolete.

I don’t know squat about web design so I don’t know what you mean by all the bells and whistles. But IMO the best sites are fairly simple. Just let me find the info I need please. I need rates, screening info, availability, photos, contact method, and some info about her as far as stats and personality; and I want it all to be fairly easy to find.  Her other links being there is helpful. Also if she travels, then to be able to subscribe to the newsletter. Almost nobody keeps their calendar up to date, so fine. Just send the newsletter.

A lot of the providers with personal sites have them set up too fancy. Hard to navigate. Also remember a lot of us are on mobile. I see a lot of sites that are probably very nice on a desktop but on mobile they’re a total disaster. Just keep it simple and clean and navigable. That’s my two cents.

And yes, MrFisher, social media is a plague and should be treated as such.

I just created my own website & have the ability to change, or update everything myself. Professional websites you have no control.  I would never pay anyone for a professional website. My website is free. I’ve paid lots over the years & the majority of men don’t read. The ones that do are my clientele & they appreciate my photos, content, etc. I have had professional websites & it’s a headache trying to make changes going through a third party to assist.

to see, I generally do an advanced search on TER FIRST, using location and other filters to find the kind of providers I prefer.  A member cannot get a review approved without an active link to a website, so if a provider has no website that is still active, she cannot get reviewed.  So the only reviews she has will usually be ancient and not reflective of her current looks, attitude, menu, or skill level.  That is a red flag for me.  What is she hiding?

It matters not if she has her own proprietary website or is represented by an agency that books for multiple ladies.  I want to know in advance that if I see her, I can write a review of the session.  If I can't provide a link to her web page, the review will not be approved by TER, so the whole process for me, and a lot of other customers I know, comes down to the point that if there is no website to link to a review, she is an automatic pass for us.  It's extremely rare for customers to post here that they were disappointed, much less scammed, by a well-reviewed provider who has a website.  These kinds of threads are most always started by guys who saw a provider on spec that had no website or reviews, but had hot photos on social media.  Every month, it seems we get a new thread about someone being scammed by a provider who they could not find much information about, but went ahead with the transaction anyway, whether it is getting taken for a deposit, or just a lousy session that did not live up to her own hype.

Not sure where you reside and your local laws, but caution may be in order.  I've never heard of anyone being prosecuted for aiding website creation, but some laws have a broad umbrella under the concept of "facilitation."  Just something to keep in mind.

I have always had my clients tell me they appreciate the website info they can read before booking. I pay yearly for mine. It's good b/c everything you need is right there, all info, pricing, pics, how to book. The ones that do NOT read it are the ones that are aimlessly trying to book an appt they know nothing about! Cheers!

If you look some of your photos over lap on top of your text & it’s not readable. Go to settings on the mobile device option to update & edit, so those looking at your website can clearly read all the information you provide.  If you look at your own website on your own cell phone you can see the issue. I’m here to help… WebMistress.

They really DONT read do they? I dont like for people to show up, NOT having ALL of the info.  So when they are trying to book (which is very easy)  I ask them which session ON my website they are booking. They actually have names. They have to tell me one of those, so I know they have info before coming out. I LOVE websites. If I was a man, yesssssirrr I'd be reading the WHOLE thing first. It's in their best interest,  and they come prepared. Toys, $$$, , whatever. You are absolutely right too, the ones that read it, always tell me they appreciate it. About twice a year, I'll get a response that they just want an appt, they dont have "time" to read it. LOL. This kills me. So, WHAT are you showing UP FOR? Ya dont know & ya dont know $$$$$.....hahahaaaa. Usually those are really too young anyway, I do not see under 30, b/c they do not understand.  One guy mentioned not long ago, I had repetitive info on there. I said   "YEAH & you would believe how many STILL do not see it!!"   Merry Christmas! xo Star

YOU hit the nail on the head my dear! Info, info, info & answers questions! I havent raised my rates, at all, in years. Simply b/c of the economy & I don't want to be WAY out there where FBSM isn't affordable to come relax. We are taking a hit everywhere, it's ridic really. I was just thinking the other day how I dont travel anymore, buy stuff I dont need anymore (lol), yet live about the same otherwise. But, I am ok with that b/c I am more established, have a roof over my head & make it on my own. I am truly grateful, will continue to be & keep my rates where they are at. No shade to the ones that  have raised their rates tho. Many travel, outcall, etc & then you do take a hit in the pocket. I'd like to do a week in Charleston in a nice condo set up. i could take a HUGE hit, so i need to be prepared for it being "Just a vacay". I'm not sure people in Charleston are familiar with me, or would even book. I lived in Wilmington for years & when I "Purchased", I did so in Myrtle Beach. WAYYY more for your money here b/c there's sooo many condos. However. I miss Wilmington & If I ever get the chance to sell & purchase in Wilmington, I will. IF I ever do, the whole world will know way in advance, but my regulars already know, haha   :)  xox Star
