When I first started escorting, it was great....

...as it provided me with all a new escort needed to know. Clients, training, security, etc, support. They also gave a 70/30 split of the money which I thought was good. And they were known for excellent customer service. A girl who got a few complaints from clients was instantly fired. You had to really groom yourself well, sort of like the Mayflower Madam's gals.

The agency I worked for was a top class agency, and back in the 1990's they were charging a lot of money. The gal who owned it was a real beauty too, and a former escort. They had about 50 girls and 20 men ( gay guys and bi escorts) but...alas, after four years of working nonstop for them and banking, they got busted.

I learned a great deal from having that guidance from the agency and sometimes wish even now that someone would do all the work for me and I could just go out and see the guy.

I ask because a lady I have seen before, and have seen since she started working for a new agency, just blew off a 1:00 appointment I had with her. Don't know what the deal is, her, the agency, me? not sure. The agency she works for is not answering my calls. Back before she was with this new agency, she had her own e-mail, and when I set up appointments with her, it was with her, not some agency gobetween. Problems keeping the appointment?, she had my phone number, and would call, visa versa.

Mostly I see independents, the only reason I am dealing with this agency, and asking , is that she is really great, so I will deal with the agency bs to see her, but think she could do better on her own. There has got to be some good reasons why ladies choose to work for an agency, I just don't know what they are.

You mean like paying them 50% of what they make?

lol most ladies don't have a place and/or nice enough furniture and/or a nice enough place to see their clients. And/or don't live by themselves. And/or don't have the time to take and screen their own calls. And/or are around people who don't know what they do (ie. boyfriend, friend)and therefor can't screen their own calls AND/OR LIVE TOO FAR for their clients to drive.

lol Their are a lot of reasons BUT do understand where you're coming from.

Love,
Victoria

When I started out I worked for agencies and being new at the time it was just easier to work for them. After time I started noticing a pattern their advertising started to be based around maybe 1 or 2 ethnicities and nothing else.Even thought they had a wide range of ladies of every ethnic background they would only advertise for certain ones.I finally had enough decided to do my own thing.I have also found that some of these agencies had very poor screening practices. If you're a lady and too busy to answer calls, return emails,or do advertising agency is the way to go just make sure the agency is reputable. I know of only 1 in vegas 100proof the others are terrible and gives vegas a bad name.

It would be a cold day in hell before anyone would cash in on me laying on my back! Further more, if you read the headlines, who gets busted the most? Certainly not independents. EOM.

The agencies just make bigger headlines & press. Indies get busted many times a week all over America.  Agency busts are much more rare.

Please, hobbyists and providers, don't brag about what you know unless you have the data and/or stats to back it up.  Just because you've paid a few broads for their time or have been paid for your time doesn't mean you know the inner workings of LE.

Advice well taken. "mouth in foot" I still believe agencies are nothing better than pimps. I have been in this business for 13 years as an independent. Never coming close to putting myself in danger, or being arrested. My time invested in taking calls, emails, posting ads, screening, has never felt overwhelming to me. Certainly takes less time than a 30hr per wk job. I just can't justify cutting someone in considering the nature of the profession. If they want the money, they can lay on their own back. This is my own personal feelings about the matter & in no way do I intend to pass judgement on those providers who choose to use agencies. Please do not take offense.

I hear about independents getting busted almost weekly. They rarely make the big news, but some are posted on small regional newspapers or on a "police blotter" buried on page 20.
When an agency gets nailed the media usually goes on a frenzy.
You would be surprised at how many well reviewed providers have been busted.

LE_Warning. You should take your own advice.

I can see the reasoning if a lady is new to the business, and/or wants privacy and/or does not have great furniture. BUT, take if from me, with the lady I missed my 1:00 with, she could have been holding a wrench, or have otherwise been incall decor challenged, and I still would have been happy to see her. Don't know what the deal is, but until I find out, blame her agency for a 1:00 date that did not pan out.

The can set their hours of work and leave. They don't usually have the time or experience for everything else.

There are men and women that act as phone operators, who will do your screening, answer your calls and email, make your appointments, for a small fraction of a agencies commission.
Hobbyists should remember that when sending email love letters.
Do guys even wonder how the Chinese provider who speaks little english, sends such sweet well written messages, by email?

Damn after reading this whole entire thread I think I just lost about 5 brain cells.

First off it's easy for a hobbyist to judge agencies or indies, for all they do is show up pay donation and leave. I worked as an escort both agency and indy in NYC before I decided to open an agency. There are pros and cons on both sides of it.

A LOT of the ladies that come to me do not have a penny to their name so when they want to come work for example in the big bad apple they need someone to cover all the costs for advertising, screening tools, hotels, and etc etc. As an indy it was a pain in the ass to answer calls and I certainly couldn't do it in the middle of a session and answering emails and screening clients it was just so much. Being with an agency all I had to do was show up and "work".

There will always be the conversation of Agency vs Indy at the end of the day not anyone is better than the other. I know of several independents who are personally my friends who know how to handle the admin side of the business and make good money.

Hell I know Indies who hold professional careers and just do this in their spare time. I know of several reputable agencies that do the best they can for the models they have.

I as an agency do SCREEN my clients and do not ever b&s but then again what agency is going to admit to it, right? Only time will tell. This is why we do our homework of WHOEVER we decide to see. It is YOU the clients that determine whether an agency or indy will stay afloat. If an agency has a bad reputation of doing B&S, scamming, and anything else they can do to piss off a client then pretty soon they will not have any.

With all the advertising anyone can do its the clients word of mouth and repeat clientele that makes an agency or indy golden. So dont let a few bad apples determine which you decide to see.

As far as Sancho, sorry that this happened. I would leave it alone, if she's not answering your calls then what does that tell you. The agency can not personally stop you from calling her or from her answering the phone. She may feel its better to see you off the clock or has just moved on to "greener" pastures.

maybe a lesser charge if busted (because they want the owners more), but other than that...nothing.
