When depressed...

Does anyone really value their sleep covers? With every waking day, I am falling more and more in love with my bed, my pajamas, my thumb, my fuzzy slippers...and the fortress of well, a peaceful slumber. The things to do list, the goals for the day, fade. As 4pm nears, instead of a wild night out, I'm fantasizing about laying my head on a clean cotton pillowcase and feeling the goose down of my pearl colored comforter embrace my head. I am aging, no doubt. Or regressing.

I haven't yet purchased a Hello Kitty handbag. So I guess, the next phase ahead of me is Cafeteria dining.

So the question is...Has anyone ever thrown plans out the door to well, sleep? Am I alone here?

Yes, I have felt this way when I have been depressed.

...isn't wasted."

Well, he wasn't really all that wise, but he was a good friend.  In any case, he appreciated sleep as much a I do, and as much as you apparently do too, Heather.  There are few things as delicious as a good night's sleep, or even a good nap.

BTW, I feel this way whether I'm depressed or not.

HBXXX!

I know you are a mom- and thus sleep is an elixir to you.

As for me, I see it as proof that I am an adult- now that I value good sleep as highly as any other good thing.   Boys fuck all night-men do the deed and get some rest.   I let my SO know when she can "wake me up".

But I love to sleep...

Perhaps we can sleep together some time- a date to snooze!
