what's your system for using TER?

any tricks you have learned to improve the quality of your dates?

my own "system" (ad hoc, and based on little experience):

* look for new prospects in the "new reviews" for providers in my area, by running searches within certain performance or service criteria (basically: appearance 7+, performance 7+, bbbj for full service).

*avoid the heavy hitting providers with frequent recent reviews (such as currently, debbie in san francisco/concord, and a few weeks ago, ashley tex avery in san francisco), even if they have high reviews -- i like 'em not so pressed.

* avoid providers with declining reviews, even if some recent reviews are high (prada in san francisco)

* read each review, and look for patterns in service (her limits, enthusiasm) and attitude (hot, cold). put more trust in reviews by guys who can (1) write a complete sentence, (2) give details, (3) cover all the main points. trawl the reviews by guys who like the same providers i do, to see who else rang their bell.

* look at the pix on the lady's web site. read her text, see how that jibes with the reviewer comments; if she's a fit in style and my physical "type," migrate to my favorites list.

* when the moment arises ... stick with incall: cheaper for me, safer and more relaxing for her.

Very systematic and thorough on your search criteria. As far as ladies with numerous recent reviews, I saw Suzanne in San Diego last month. Superior session, a 10 in performance and a repeat for me sometime soon. Suzanne has been heavily reviewed lately, and they have all been good to great.

"Not so pressed" LOL, each lady has a varying number of clients that they're willing to see on a given day or when they're on tour. To avoid this "pressed" condition, I usually see a traveling lady early if not the first appointment in her tour, or in the case of my ATF (Baylee Lefever) book for multiple hours or even days.

I have had clients tell me they've seen ladies who were obviously tired, sore and just not that connected mentally at the end of a three or four day tour. It is one of the downsides of the escort business. We guys like to think we can still bring the high, hard one, late in the ninth, but look at it from the ladies point of view.

I don't care who, or how many clients a lady sees, as long as they don't put her in a sour state of mind that will affect my time with her. Perhaps I've been lucky, but a little research has led to some great sessions recently. Here's hoping that the trend continues. MfSD.

i had to laugh at that one. you're right, though, morning and early tour sessions are usually pretty good ... if you can get them.

By why see a touring girl at all? I still don't get it....it isn't that I want her "all to myself"...I ahve no delusions about that...I just get....quezy...at the idea of seeing a woman who I KNOW might have had sex with 3 to 5 other guys that day. Sure...trying to get on her calendar first works around that...I do the same thing by always trying to schedule my outcall to my apartment dates as early in the evening as possible...but still...you KNOW it is just production line sex.

I'm not a woman, but I just can't imaigine thinking she is really enjoying herself. Sure...maybe she can do one hell of an acting job...but much like the dinner date / overnight thing....it doesn't matter how good a time she is pretending to have...my brain just KNOWS better.

(Sigh)....heavens knows life is all about chioce, so bless you guys for doing what you do, but in a world full of quality independents, I still don't understand why guys do the "touring" thing.

Is it because I have my own place and am not married, and thus have LOTS more flexibility? Is that what it is?

I too was reluctant to see touring ladies at first, for the same reasons that you state. But at that time, San Diego had very few quality providers. While the number of reliable ladies has increased here, I have a few favorite touring ladies(particularly Baylee Lefever) that I have grown fond of, and see whenever they tour here.

I do schedule early, or block a whole evening. In fact, I'm seeing Baylee again in Vegas for a two day exclusive in the near future......MfSD.

I agree with you on this.  My limited experiences with traveling ladies has not been good and with so many independents in Los Angeles why bother.  I think that often the traveling ladies will book a lot more appointments per day when on the road and will go through with those dates no matter how bad or sick they feel.  Quality suffers.  One LA pornstar who sometimes travels told me that her agency would book her for 8 to 10 appointments a day while on the road and she would simply get worn out.  In town she would usually only see a couple of guys a day.  With that sort of pace you had better be one of the first few guys to see her on the first day of the trip or quality probably won't be there.

Since I have a number of girls in my rotation I like to see, I'm only looking to add a small number of new girls, so I can be quite selective.

I look at the new reviews here in LA, especially the ones flagged "NEW". Some of my best experiences have been with girls new to the business. I guess that is because they are often enthusiastic and trying to build a clientele.

I read the reviews and ad and try to figure out if I would have a good time. I'm quite intuitive, so I do some "reading between the lines." I try to imagine a "composite" from all the reviews. Then, if I am interested, I call the girl and get her to do some talking. It's amazing what some of these girls say. Some make me want to rush right over. Some are so bad I can't wait to get off the phone. It's shocking the (good or bad) vibe they put out. Then if I make the appointment I'm still not committed. The girl who answers the door has to be the girl in the ad or I'm gone, unless she looks as good or better to me. I always ask on the phone "Are you the girl in the picture?" That covers me if she said she was but is not and I decide to walk.

I've been doing this (a lot) for three and a half years. I feel like my hunches in reading ads and talking to girls on the phone have gotten more and more accurate as time has gone on, though they are not perfect, of course.

Unlike many guys, I am willing to take a chance on a new girl. I also check the new ads on some of the malls (especially ThatMall) and call the new ones I am interested in. I've had vastly more good experiences than bad doing this. I went on a binge seeing (about a dozen) new girls this spring and had a wonderful time. That sure improved my rotation!

One more thing. When I find a good new girl I share her with a few of my TER back-channelling buddies. I really enjoy it when they see her and let me know they had a great time.

your third para says it all. i also trust in the force and put a lot of weight on the tone of the conversation. if the minx knows that yes it's only a prospecting call but this prospector is already rarin' for some carin', and treats me like i want to be treated ... it always seems to work out between us.

the trick of asking about the photos is important. her reply is an implicit contract -- and it's much easier to walk away when the contract in your head has been violated.

there seem to be two schools -- stick with the well rated, or dip into the new girls -- i'm definitely on the side of trying the newcomers. just more adventure, often a delightful surprise.

And where you wrote "the trick of asking about the photos is important. her reply is an implicit contract -- and it's much easier to walk away when the contract in your head has been violated.", there is one more possibility for me. It is a girl's last chance to come clean if the photos are not her. If a girl tells me at that point that it is not her photo, that is not necessarily a deal-breaker, if everything else is screaming yes. But I do get pretty specific about talking about what she looks like. As long as she is OK with that, and I like what I hear, I will probably see her. Especially if she has a plausible reason for not using her own photo. I like honest people.

I am firm believer of posting reviews but I understand that it is your money that gained the experience so you have the perfect right to either publicize it or not.  Since you mentioned that you back-channel with your buddy about good new girls, I am curious about what prompts you to post a few reviews on ladies you met.

p.s. A few of the ladies in your reviews have dropped their ads.  It is indeed a hard time for the ladies :-(

My first review was my first rip-off, after many wonderful experiences. My motivation was to alert my fellow horny men. Then I thought I should write a second review to get a month of membership, since I had not been VIP before and I was curious what I was missing. After that I decided that I didn't like writing reviews and would rather just pay money for my membership, which I do.

Since then I have preferred not to write reviews, mostly because I like to think about what the girl and I did behind closed doors as between us, and a fantasy for me. I actually believe, mostly on the basis of other reviews, that I often get a lot higher mileage with some girls than other customers do. I believe I should be flattered by that and keep it in confidence.

I write a review now if a girl asks me to, and I've had a good time. I also write one if I had a bad experience that I want to warn other hobbyists about. There was one other case where I really liked the girl immediately, a new girl, and I could kind of tell she was not getting as many calls as she wanted. After the session I asked her if she would like me to write a review to help her business. She thought about it for a couple of weeks and said OK, so I did. Now I see her once a week, and she gets more calls than she can handle. We're both happy.

When I back-channel I talk about what kind of girl she is, but don't include any juicy details. My TER buddies I back-channel with have become friends, though I wouldn't know them if I saw them. I believe we see life, or at least the hobby, in a similar way. As friends, I think I know what kind of girl and what kind of experience they like, and I only recommend girls I think fit into that. I am pleased that some of them tell me they have actually developed crushes on the girls I have recommended. That makes me feel good.

i agree with what you said. i have posted on both the disappointing sessions i have had, to warn others; and i have posted on four ladies that i think deserve to pick and choose. they were so good to me that i believe they deserve a strong public recommendation -- especially given the current economy.

however, there is a third reason: to provide enough overlapping context with popular providers so that other ter readers can evaluate my judgment and my taste in minxes, and get a sense of my experiences in this preoccupation.

your back channel network sounds like a great resource, and i think it's a tribute to you that you like it when your friends treat her as well as you do. she comes first.

feelings about the subject matter.  It is good for you to offer help to the lady.  I think most of them need fresh reviews badly.

I feel a kind of kinship and affinity towards a few TER members and some of the ladies.  I am not sure whether they will like me or be my friends in the real world.  Sometimes, it is better to stay in fantasy land.

Thanks again.

I usually like to talk with them before the first date, if even briefly, just to get a feel for what they're like, and hear their voice. I had set up time last year, to see a highly rated lady, part time porn actress in Atlanta.

I called her on the phone about a week before. First, she had no earthly idea who I was. OK I can accept that, popular lady, numerous clients. But then I drop my name, the time I scheduled and so forth, even dropped the name of a guy who lived in her city, had seen her as a client, and recommended her. No dice, she acted as if I had committed some kind of a crime. She even asked me, "do you have any idea how many crank calls I get a day".

I tried to make conversation, but it got no where. I apologized for wasting her time and hung up. I then sent her an e-mail, told her what had happened, figuring maybe she'd figure it out. She finally did and seemed a bit chastened at what had happened, but it was obvious, she didn't really care one way or the other. Bottom line, bitchy, nasty, aloof prima donnas are not getting my hard earned cash, too many sweet ladies out there. Maybe she was having a bad day, but other guys related similar stories to me. MfSD.

I think you have a pretty good system.

I'm also leary of new hobbyist who have only a single posting.  Especially if they post for a new provider or post following a bad review.  I also cross check other hobbyist's reviews of providers I've seen - kinda of a calibration of numbers.  I look for long term consistency of reviews and confirmation from other sources when possible.

Contradictions are a big red flag, for example, how do you get a covered BBBJ or her website shows a BBW but the reviewer claims a petite woman.  On the subject of websites, I'm also leary of photos where the poses use flattering angles or are glamour shots with lots of makeup.  I'd rather have her suprise me by being much better looking in person instead of disappointed because she had a good photographer.

Trust your gut feelings.  If something says there's gonna be a problem then there is a problem and you're best bet is to move on.

I do a lot of cross-referencing of reviewers, looking for guys who have seen providers that I have seen for 1-to-1 comparisons.  I also tend to ignore reviews that are more than 8 months old, because things change.  After eliminating older reviews I look for consistency in the remaining reviews.  If a provider has three 8's, two 9's a 10, and a coupla 3's or 4's, I am very leary of that YMMV bug.  But in fairness I look at the reviews posted by those guys in an effort to legitimize their grades.  If they are constanly grading low, then I discount the reviewers.  But it all starts with a TER search by performance, listing those items I require.

I always look at a reviewer's history if I'm researching new ladies. A short history makes it hard to know whether the reviewer has much experience to compare the present review to or to get a sense of how they grade. If a reviewer gives a lot of 9s and 10s, I tend to suspect grade inflation. The reverse for lots of 6s (I tend to suspect tough grader rather than slow learner.) Reading several of a reviewer's reviews gives you an idea of what they like, which gives you a better idea of whether their tastes are similar to yours. And, of course, reviews of ladies you have also seen offer the best comparison to your own tastes.

and read the details in the reviews.

TER profiles are notoriously outdated.  BBBJ is actually CBJ.  Don't know in BJ can be BBBJ.  No BBBJTC is now BBBJTC.  DFK is so YMMV and even DATY - inside or outside is a problem.
The Greek section is the worst.

I used to set the Kiss, BJ, Ethnic and other criteria as filters and missing out on quite a number of ladies.

I look for reviewers with similar taste and ratings and trust their judgments.

Since my hours are flexible, I prefer ladies with a 3 or 4 current reviews in the past 4 weeks  This way I have more confidence about their current status while catching them before they are overwhelmed.

My "system" with TER (and other resources) is less, to use them specifically for search-and-find tools, whatever the criteria, as others have reported. More, I visit and read every day.

I hit TER about twice every three days, and use the simplest search features ("city" etc.) to identify all the new reviews I might be interested in. I read the review and check out the girl's website, and perhaps "keep her in mind" or perhaps not, depending on the results. I don't have any more specific method. I won't set up an appointment unless the combination of review, revealing-and-clear pictures on the website, and categories of service and attitude ALL coincide with my interests. If she DOES fit all the criteria, and that's quite a rarity, then I'm not likely to forget who she is.

(Oh, and by the way, to all you providers out there ... the concept of "revealing-and-clear" pictures is pretty patently self-evident to most hobbyists. Draping some kind of scarf over your belly, showing off your body in nothing more revealing than a boxy tailored business suit, whatever. It might show you to your own "best advantage," but that simply informs me that in more revealing guise you would be at a disadvantage. I think most men see right through those photographic tricks and I, personally, simply permanently disregard a provider who doesn't offer sufficient INFORMATION in her photographs for me to judge on. So, I recommend all providers use REVEALING and CLEAR photos, even if they think that won't be their own best side. It at least is their own most REAL side. Anyway ... pet peeve ... grump grump ... )

As far as reading the reviews goes, I definitely put more credence in a well-established reviewer, in one who doesn't either (a) wax overly poetic (did he copy that from Penthouse "Forum"?) or (b) talk like a troglodyte (who taught HIM grammar!?). I do look for "contradictions" and also try to keep personal preferences of a given reviewer in mind -- for example, I'm not into curvaceous or busty or big-beautiful or older than saaaaay 35, and so when a reviewer starts using phrases that refer to those sorts of assets ("whole lotta woman" or "very experienced") I try to "read between the lines" in that manner as well. Men are pretty bad at admitting that their own personal preferences may not be anybody else's, so when I write a review I try to be specific (especially about body-type; TER's categories aid in taking care of that) and to mention that I "prefer" X over Y, not that I got simply "the best" and not define whether it was X OR Y.

I've had to modify my methods recently because of changes in the heat landscape in my region. I'm beginning to work more along the lines of using the internet as a momentary (synchronic) search-and-find tool, rather than as a historical (diachronic) get-to-know-the-field tool. But nothing beats following a given provider as she appears and then tears up the pool of reviewers, and then getting in on the bandwagon just as it's hitting its peak.

Final point. This method probably wouldn't work too well for travelling hobbyists. I am generally limited to one city, and therefore can keep up with developments there. In this sense, I am neglecting to take advantage of one of TER's greatest strengths, the trans-national information availability on the internet.
