The OP asked a legit question and does not need you little mini lectures.

I have seen many young providers and only one of them had me questioning her age. She had advertised herself as 19 and the photos on her website made her look just that. However, in person I had second thoughts, and asked her to show me her drivers license. She was 21 and I enjoyed the session.

You did the right thing by leaving. When in doubt, don't touch her and bolt.
As far as contacting LE, IF I WAS SURE she was a minor I would feel obligated to drop the dime.

I have always had trouble guessing a young woman's age...  it can be impossible to tell.  I agree asking for ID or "Sorry, I'm outta here!"

Again agree, if I knew for a fact (ID) or personal knowledge, that she was under age...  I'd be gone AND have to drop the dime.

There are many ladies that join the ranks of newly reviewed providers each and every day and this is accomplished because someone TOFTT without the benefit of reviews.

CausticGuy advising that we should stick with well reviewed ladies means that our stable of ladies would never expand or improve.

Has anybody come across a situation in which you encountered a provider that looked under age?  I came across twice with providers that looked under age. The first time was by a hotel near JFK airport. She told me she was 20 but she looked more like 15.  The second time was a hotel in Midtown Manhattan. This one told me she was 23 but looked more like 12. While I understand that it may not bother some hobbyists, I got turned off both times so I left. I got turned off not just because of feeling guilty and uneasy, but I don't get turned on by something that is "not ripe".  It is like a piece of fruit, it does not taste good if it is not ripe. Thinking back, I wonder should I have called law enforcement.  Any opinions ?

There's the other side of the coin.  A lady advertising to be 40 yrs old and turns out she's 55+ with some missing front teeth.  You feel like calling law enforcement, but can't.  haha.  Same Awkward Moment.

because I am agreeing with Hirogen again. If I was at all in doubt about if the lady was of age I would ask to see ID or walk. If I was sure I would contact the police. Minor must be protected. I hate agreeing with Hirogen even when he is right. It makes me feel dirty. I am going to take a shower.

To avoid watching the hideous Black-Eyed Peas at halftime I switched to CNN expecting to see the latest news from Egypt.  Instead, I was treated to another airing of CNN's expose of Backpage helping peddle under-age girls.  While I think they've overdone it, there's no denying it's a real problem.  I couldn't bear watching it for long but it was hilarious to watch execs of Backpage getting trapped into on-camera interviews and having to stand around looking uncomfortable before walking silently away. Man, these guys are not ready for Prime Time.  I predict they end up caving.

Were these CL providers? If so, I would at least report it to CL or whatever escort board where the ad was posted.

Reporting to LE? I dunno, that puts you at risk and if the provider is, in fact, a minor controlled by an adult pimp, she could claim you had sex with her and then it's your ass on the line.

I HATE people who use minors this way. Minors can't place ads without adult help. Yeah, we like 'em younger, but this kind of human trafficking makes me sick. You did the right thing by passing, both on the legal and moral level.

If sh*t hits the fan, the DA won't care that you checked a bogus ID or that she presented herself as an adult.  You had sex with a minor...end of story.  Ignorance of her age is no defense. If the big head thinks she looks under age err on the side of caution and bolt.

My personal risk matrix dictates that if she isn't in the 30 year old range I don't book the date.  It's not just because I like them more mature, it's to avoid even the chance of getting mixed up with under aged girls.  I find it distasteful and besides my career and family can survive me getting caught with a provider (boys will be boys), but if I get caught with a kid I'm done.

Actually, Bostonguy is right, if you do not do your research, you are asking for trouble.  While we all applaud those who TOFT, even then do your due diligence.  Thats what we call it the Hobby, rather than the "let's act like idiots and see how much trouble we can get into".

Thanks for clarifying, Tim.  I wasn't watching carefully enough. Good for Backpage for being smart enough to stay off camera.  It's much, much better to have to media say you refused to be interviewed than to be trapped by the camera looking like a weasely douche.
