With even more time on my hands than is the norm thanks to self quarantine, I've been on YouTube quite a bit. Today I ran across this channel, "Jennifer Moleski", who describes herself as a "feminism apostate" amongst other things. The attached video raises the issue of a woman's role in life. I have to wonder. How many of us wouldn't be here on TER and active hobbyists had we found ourselves a woman like Jennifer describes?
Speech is composed of both words and pauses. There's a good reason for this.
Now I can see that in some kinds of ads they omit the pauses because time is money, but what is the sense of having it when rhetoric is so important? Do people really think that piling words up in our ears helps their cause? Her staccato fire talk detracts from the message she has, which as far as I can tell is rather lame to start with. Something about how wonderful men are. As if.
