I think that a pussy costume would be terrific. Get a minimum costume with a black cap with the ears and whiskers, black sequined panties with a black sequined thong . Fashion a black tail that you can hang from your waist. wear some ankle high black slippers or maybe better still, some black high boots.
I know if you answered the door in a costume like that, I'd have to take you right there. That could be your trick and my treat!!

I have always been a laid back kind of a guy, and I never begrudged anyone else their fun. However, it has always amazed me how a bunch of adults can get downright childish and get all dressed up in a bunch of ludicrous costumes in celebration of a custom meant for kids!

I stopped this stupidity when I was 12.

Again, I don't begrudge anyone their fun, but some people are taking things way too far, at least for adults. I live in a townhouse complex, and even though we have had brush fires burning a few miles away, several of my neighbors have been decorating their units for their parties. Grow up people!, This thing is for kids!

Hay Shay! d'ya hear?  Add Bunny Ears to your sub costume.  :-)

A lady in uniform is also very nice: Navy white dress jacket and hat uniform over lingerie.

Devil-Girl or Evil Angel is also SEXY great.  

I had a friend who was a Satanic-Cheerleader once.

For SCARY, I also like the classic monsters.  

And Ghosts.  You can be a dead person from any era: civil war, revolutionary war, Edwardian, pioneer.  Bullet hole make-up and neck slice out of latex is easy to find and apply.

I'm always a sucker for the pirate and pirate wench costumes (The Princess Bride Dread Pirate Robert type and not the Johnny Depp Keith Richards type please).

For the ladies......

1. Catholic School Girl/ GoGo from Kill Bill (OK, 12 years of Catholic School and a Scottish heritage at work here... I'm a sucker for plaid skirts)

2. Helloooooo NURSE!

3. 60's Era Stewardess (think that wonderfully tacky costume from Gwynneth Paltrow's Vegas airline in View From the Top)

4. For you blonde buxom types.... heavily stuff and pad your bra, put on loads of makeup, and carry a camcorder and you can be Pamela Anderson.

5. For you petite ladies, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz or a gymnast (You can DOOO it!)

6. Uma Thurman from Kill Bill (Yellow Bruce Lee Jumpsuit with a Black stripe and a sword (Japanese Steel!)

7.  For something original, honestly look at yourself in the mirror and become the exact opposite of what you see.  If you dress va va va voom like most of the ladies who frequent here, go for a Librarian or repressed buttoned up Secretary.  All the more fun when your "transformation" happens at the end of the date.  If you are normally fairly reserved in your dress, embrace your inner Shania Twain and go all dominatrix with black lace up boots and all.  Whoever your partner is, they will appreciate getting to see what's it like on teh other side of the street from what they are used to.
