An agency gal that I know quite well is planning on going independent sometime in the next few months. How important do you ladies feel that a personal web site is for her business? She has many good TER reviews as an agency girl and has been on the scene for a while. We have talked about advertising on Eros but I wonder what you ladies think the benefits of a good personal site would be. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Sorry about the alias but I need to be anonymous for this one...

I think a site is necessary, tell her to contact Aphrodite.com they do a good job and its unexpensive

IMO....It is a very small investment that is well worth the money spent. She will be putting  more money in her pocket, as she won't have to pay an
agency fee :)

I think a site is a good investment.

However its not necessary to work. Especially If shes already well known and has good reviews. She'd be wise totake that start up capital to get a good set of professional pictures done (including hair and makeup if she shows her face) and put up her own paid advertising in a number of different venues. Then link to her reviews in her add copy.

Then once she is ready do some research on diff web designers and put some time into deciding how she wants her site to look and or reflect her. then pick one shes comfortable with. Ask other gals if they like their webmaster and dont go with the cheapest one or else she may be sorry in the long run. Unless it happens that the cheap one also has the best recommendations.

if its done right and personalized, it says who she is and represents her in the light in which she chooses. It also says that she is serious and is a reputable "provider".

Just my $.10.

Smooches,
Cami

Dear AnnaGFE:
What would be the other marketing and advertising options that one would have if the provider was without a website? Also what different types of places get comparable traffic so that not having a website would be a viable alternative? Also how do you current hobbyist and prospective hobbyist find you? Would you also say that you would accrue new clients at the same rate that someone who had a website would also?

Katie,
If you weren't so far away from me, I would see you on the basis of your posts on here.  The fact that you are probably a gorgeous woman might have some influence too. lol

I often look at the visiting escorts ads on Eros-LA, and I'm more likely to contact those that have their own sites (or pages at mall sites I trust, such as Phoenix411) instead of those without. The ones without sites have too often been some sort of fake, in my experience.

It's not a sure thing of course, but having her own well-developed site helps reassure me the escort is legit.

Well I am not a lady but a sophisticated website will impact my decision on seeing a provider. I think it says a lot about her marketing skills, dedication, and overall presentation. I am less likely to see a provider who does not take the time and money to show what she has to offer. It makes no difference to some as they are just looking to get laid, but those of us who want the total package expect a presentation that is worth a million bucks. It says that she is concerned about every aspect of the business. How she looks, what she has to offer, what she expects from us, and it also says that she is not looking to just get business from anywhere by placing a craig's list ad for free!  Website is key to me!

I totally hear what you ladies are saying. But the original poster described a lady who has good reviews and is already known.

In that instance she doesnt need a site a day one. Her money would be better spent advertising on reputable malls for her area. Investing in hi quality professional pics and linking to her reviews in he add copy first. After all that spend some good money on a professional looking site.

When I first started i didnt have a site for about the first 4months and did just fine. I didnt even have reviews and did just fine.

Tell her to spend her money on pics. guys look at
pics and half the decision is made there. then they read the copy and search for a review.

But if she has plenty of cash to burn and startup capital is no issue at all. then by all means go with a site on day one along with paid adds and pics. Depending on ther region paid ads and priority placements (which drives quality clients) are quite expensive. think about that.
