What would the provider do differently than if you did not have the "binder of STD results"?

How come you all don't ask a potential client (male or female) if they had a recent STD test and which STDs they have been tested for ?

The incidence of transferring a STD is quite low.  On the same issue, why as a male have you not asked every woman you have seen if they have been tested recently.   If they say they have, can you verify that?

Furthermore, if a woman asked every man about STD's, and every one responded that he was tested, and nothing was found, how could she verify that?

The correct method is for each person to go into the session doing whatever they can to prevent transmission of STD's.

Let suppose a client (male or female) has herpes or Chlamydia in their throat/mouth area. They go down (uncovered daty) on the provider and give her something.

You are her next appointment.

Then you come in (you have sense enough to get tested) and you go down (uncovered daty) on the provider and you end catching what the previous client gave to her.

Even if the woman asked every man about his STD history, do you honestly believe that every man would be truthful?

There are no certainties in this business.   Overthinking it will get you into trouble.

1) Not every man will submit himself to tests.

2) Even if a man submits himself to whatever tests are available anywhere, he most certainly will not admit that he has anything to anyone

3) Even if he tests on a regular basis, the scenario you mention above might not be prevented as the person with the STD first might have just gotten a few days ago.

So the best attitude is to go into each encounter with the attitude that everything you are going to do is protected, and you will be safe.

Firstly, we wash, aka bathe, after our appts.  Secondly, you don't get become infected to the point of being contagious that fast.  Finally, if it were really THAT easy to get infected - alcohol would be illegal and drunk make-out sessions a thing of the past.  :)

What would the point be? Do you think a guy is going to be honest? Will he admit "well, actually, I got tested last month, and tested positive for ____"?

Asking a guy about his testing habits is as useful as asking a provider about hers. You are either going to get an honest "yes", or a dishonest "yes" when you ask if someone gets tested. How can you tell which one is which?

Just make sure your activities are safe, and all should be well.

Would you be insulted if the client (male or female) came to the appointment with binder of std test results and showed them to you [with verifiable phone number, etc] ?

Would that put you at ease or would you show the client to the door ?

LOL let me guess, the next question would be that since you can "prove" you are clean, that means we can forget about those annoying covers right?

I don't think it's appropriate to ask but if you are comfortable with that person to talk about it, why not?

Secondly, once again - Oral sex - the risk are very low.  There was a thread about it recently...

HIV or STD can't really survive/be transmitted in saliva. So it basically requires open sores/cuts in the given area(s) for it to happen.

So how do you determine if a client has cuts or not ?

Do you do a visual inspection and/or rely on references from other providers ?

Is there an assumption that anyone who participates gets tested on a regular basis ?

In between rounds you give client some food (pineapple or orange)  and it causes them to get a canker sore.

Do you inspect their mouth before going for a second round ?

BTW, most STD testing panels don't include in herpes testing.  I am fortunate to have access to great testing but most folks don't even test for herpes.  You have to ask for it specifically and it's an expensive test.

i appreciate folks doing there homework but these scenarios are becoming more and more ridiculous IMO.

If you want to pay you have to play. You correct most insurance companies will not pay for std tests. You have to make sure that you request all the tests because some places on check for a few stds. Some places don't include testing for hepatitis for example.

A provider should get tested once a month.

A guy who hobbies sees many different providers at least once every 3 months.

I brought this up because I found out there are guys out there who have never had a HIV test.

...I lived in SF and my doctor was a director of a women's clinic.  I sat down with her for over an hour and discussed menu, services, risk, use of condoms, looked at  some NASTY pics of warts and the like.  I also spoke to my dentist about the same.  I decided my menu based on those conversations, comfort level and risk management.  Those are NOT specific to different people but blanket processes to  keep  me safe.  

The one exception - I do check a man's genitals in the light.  I do it matter o'factly and try not to be too clinical but I have NEVER had a guy complain about my "health inspection" before I fondle or BJ or FS with condom.  And if I were to see something I don't like or am concerned about - the appointment ends and considerations are returned.

We are all at risk and everyone of us can be exposed so the best solution is to stay protected.

I've seen few guys who has visible nasty legions in their privates and believe it or not, there's also so many guys who try to do bareback.  I don't get that.  It only takes one infected person to infect another person.
